I want to ask that my DOB is 22 November 2000. So, am I eligible to give AIPMT exam of 2017. Please send me details on this number 9414956620.

Now, there is no AIPMT examination and instead of it there will be NEET for admission in medical courses.

The eligibility to appear for examination is :-

Candidate must have passed or appearing for 12th from a recognised board.

Candidate must have PCB as main paper.

Candidate's age must be between 17-25 years with relaxation in age for reserved category as on 31st December of year of appearing for examination.

The minimum eligibility criteria required to appear in AIPMT is 12th standard with medical stream with at least 50% marks from recognised board. If you belong to reserved category then taxation of 5% is given to you. As your DOB is 22nd Nov 2000, so are going to complete the age of 17 years and hence, you are eligible to apply for AIPMT examination.

To be eligible to appear in AIPMT 2017 examination, you should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects with minimum aggregate of 50% marks and you should passed English subject from a recognised board. You must be at least 17 years old as on 31st December, 2017 to be eligible to appear in AIPMT 2017 examination. Since, your DOB was 22nd November, 2000, you are eligible to appear in AIPMT 2017 examination.

In order to apply for the above mentioned examination, a candidate should have attained the minimum age of 17 years and according to your information, you will attain the age of 17 years on 22nd, November 2017.

Therefore, if you wish to appear for the examination, you can apply for it after you have attained the age of 17 years.

As per age criteria, you are eligible for AIPMT exam.

Candidates who have completed 12th standard with above 50% marks are eligible for AIPMT exam but your 12th standard subject are Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. For SC/ST candidate this percentage is reduced to 40%.

Your age should be above 17 to 25 years.

AIPMT stands for All India Pre Medical/Dental Test. AIPMT is renamed as NEET Phase I. NEET stands for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test.

It is a national level undergraduate medical entrance exam conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admission to MBBS and BDS seats under 15% All India Quota in Government medical and dental colleges of India .

The eligibility criteria for the AIPMT 2017 are as under:-

-The candidate must be an Indian citizen. OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) are also eligible to apply.

-The candidate should have passed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English subjects with minimum 50% marks for general category and 45% marks for OBC/SC/ST candidates.

-The candidate minimum age limit to apply for the exam should be 17 years as on 31st December 2017 and the upper age limit is 25 years. The upper age limit is relaxed for OBC/SC/ST candidates by 5 years.

Exam pattern :

There will be 180 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry Zoology and Botany subjects.For each correct answer, four marks will be given and 1 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer. Time allowed to write the exam is 3 hours.

First thing I would like to let you know that AIPMT ( All India Pre Medical Test ) along with state PMTs has been replaced by NEET from the year 2016.

NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and it is held once every year by CBSE for admission in MBBS/BDS courses across any medical college of India.

--> The minimum qualifications required for appearing in NEET 2017 are as here under :-

* You must have the nationality of India with your age lying within 17 years to 25 years by the 31st December 2017. Further age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for reserved category candidates.

* You must have completed your Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects with at least 50% aggregate from a recognized board. Marks relaxation of 10% is applicable for reserved category candidates.

So being biorn on 22nd November 2000, you are certainly eligible for appearing in NEET 2017 as your age satisfies the age criteria for the same examination. But apart from the age criteria you must satisfy educational requirement for the same examination too.
