Sir/Mam, can you please tell me what is the minimum age for registration in 9th CBSE Board? What is the date for age calculation for registration in class 9th CBSE Board? How can it be calculated?

To be eligible for appearing in the class 10th examination the age of candidate should not be under 14 years by the 1st October of that year in which the student got admitted to his class 10th.

So, you can use the above mentioned age criteria to calculate the minimum age required at the time of registration in Class 9th to be eligible for appearing in the Class 10th board examination.

My daughter is studying in class 8th at present under CBSE board.Her DOB is 01/06/2007.Can she be admitted into Kendriya Vidyalaya in 9th 2020 2021 session ?

To calculate the age, you need to know the date of birth of the student. Subtract the date of birth from 31st March of the current academic year to get the age of the student as on that date. For example, if the current academic year is 2023-24, the age of the student should be calculated as on 31st March 2024.

The minimum age for registration for 9th CBSE would be 14 years, as on 31st March of the current academic year.
