Re: How to prepare for CEED and NID competition papers for M.Des?
CEED - Common Entrance Examination for Design is an all India examination conducted by IIT Bombay on behalf of the Human resources and development, India.
The main objective about CEED is to assess the candidate's aptitude for design, drawing skills, Logical reasoning, Creativity and communication skills. These skills are not usually taught in Bachelor's level which makes this course even more important. NID - National Institute of Design is one of the most reputed design Institutions, not only for Indian students but also for foreign students. There are only three branches till now across India. This exam also includes General awareness, skills and creativity etc. PREPARATION TIPS : * Candidate's need to know the examination pattern, syllabus and plan accordingly. * Be perfect on Designing materials. * The more you practice, the more familiar you will be with the pattern of the examination. * It doesn't matter how good you are at work if you are not able to complete it in time. So, speed is also equally important. * As the examination sheet is of A4 sizei it's better to practice on A4 sheet rather than on A3 size books. * Don't mug the G.K. books. Be aware of the happenings around the world. * Read the newspapers regularly to improve your ability towards speaking and fluency over the language. * Practice more with the dry mediums as it takes less time in the examination. * Motivate yourself. Work with enthusiasm and you will be amazed at your ideas and creations. * Candidate's are advised to get the reference books and previous question papers to get a perfect view on the exam. |
