My son is 28 November 2013 born when he reaches class 1 he will be 5.5 years is the age ok for him according to the cbse norms or should I repeat lkg twice

The age limit for LKG and class 1 in CBSE schools:-

Age limit for LKG is 3 years 6 months to 4 years 6 months in CBSE school.

Age limit for first class is 5 years 10 months to 6 years 10 months should be admitted in class 1.

So, according to the age criteria you can get the admission in a CBSE school.

Age limit for LKG and class 1 in CBSE schools:-

Age limit for for LKG -
3 years 6 months to 4 years 6 months.

Age limit for class 1 -
5 years 10 months to 6 years 10 months.

For class one the kid should completed 5 years as on April 1st on that education year.

LKG — kid should completed 3years as on April 2021 For LKG admission of year 2021–2022 educational year.

As per the guidelines of the central board of secondary education (CBSE), the age limit of the student should be between 3 years 6 months to 4 years 10 months to get admission in LKG.

CBSE has not fixed any minimum or maximum age limit to get admission in LKG or in any std in a CBSE affiliated school.

It is the onus of the state government or UT where the school is situated to determine the same. So, visit the school or concerned state education department to get the detail information.
