Hi, i have completed graduation degree in mechanical engineering and also have B.Ed. So i want to appear in the examination for being teacher in schools of M.P.. Tell me about the eligibility conditions?

Recruitment of teachers in school approved by Central Board of Secondary Education is carried out on the basis of common entrance exam, called Central Teacher Eligibility Test(CTET).

A pass in higher secondary examination with 50 % marks along with Diploma in Elementary Education is the minimum eligibility for this exam.

The exam is conducted separately for Primary stage and Elementary Stage


Eligibility for CTET:

Graduation with a minimum of 50 % marks is the minimum eligibility criterion.

Final year of candidates of the two year Diploma in Elementary Education/ Bachelor in Education are eligible to appear for the exam.

Graduates with a minimum of 45 % marks in aggregate along with bachelor’s degree in education are also eligible.

Candidates who have passed higher secondary examination with 50 % marks along with four year Bachelor in Elementary Education are also eligible.

To become teacher in government or CBSE affiliated schools, candidate need to have TET qualified certificate.
TET stands for Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by each state government as well as CBSE.
Eligibility test conducted by CBSE is known as CTET.

Eligibility to appear in TET examinations are
-Candidate must have 12th pass certificate for primary level and Bachelor degree for higher than primary.
-Candidate must have Diploma in Education(D.Ed) for primary level and Bachelor of Education(B.Ed) for higher.

MP TET 2016 registration dates are yet to announce.
Its dates will be available on MP Vyapam official website.

Since, you fulfill the eligibility criteria, so you can apply for MP TET 2016 and after qualifying in the examination you can join any school under MP government as a Teacher.
