Re: What preparation needed to become a Chartered Accountant for a 10th BSEB student?
The minimum academic qualification required to apply for 1st stage of Chartered Accountancy course is 12th passed or appearing from a recognized board. If you want to become CA then you must opt for Commerce stream in standard 11th and 12th.
First stage of CA is Common Proficiency Test. It consists of four papers namely fundamentals of accounting, mercantile law, general economics and quantitative aptitude. You can focus on these subjects from now to clear CPT easily. |

---After completion of 10th standard, you have to select the commerce stream in 11 and 12th standard as well.
--After completion of 12th standard with minimum of 50-60%Mark's,you have two option are as follows:- :- After 12th with 5 years. :- After B.com with 3 years. --CA having 3 stages namely as :- :- CPT :- CA IPCC :- CA Final -Note:- If you are completion your B.com with minimum of 55%Mark's then you are eligible to get admission directly in the 2nd stage known as CA IPCC. --After completion of CA IPCC, you have to complete your 2.5 years of Articleship to eligible for CA Final exam. --once you passed both groups of CA Final exam your are eligible for Tue ICAI membership. |

Chartered Accountants have high recognition in the society.
There are three stages to complete this course: 1). CPT stands for common proficiency test. 2.) IPCC stands for integrated professional competence course 3.) Articleship and final course. Mainly CPT exam is most important and you have to qualify it. Syllabus of CPT exam: Fundamentals of accounting =60 marks. Merchant laws =40 marks General economics =50 marks Quantitative aptitude=50 marks Duration of exam is 2 hours. Eligibility for writing CPT exam: The candidate should have passed 10 + 2. There is no age limit to appear in this exam. Note: Applications are available in the month of February. Exams conducted in the month of May or June. |
