Sir, I belong to an SC category and my son is studying in 1st standard. I believe that when he will be in 10th standard, education system will be taken under new education policy. I want to know is there any benefit given under new education policy to the reserved students like SC, ST and OBC?

Yes, under new education policy 2020 there are some benefits for the reserved categories under SEDG (Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Group) in which SC/ST, other backward and minority castes are there. Below some of the benefits listed;

* Special hostels in dedicated regions,
bridge courses.
* Financial assistance will be given through fee waivers and scholarships to help the talented and marit students.

The above benefits are given to reduce the disparities in educational systems for mainly SC and ST's.
