My niece born on 30-04-2008. Now she is studying 4th standard in CBSE board. In her tenth class, will she be eligible for board exams? She was only 30 days shortage on the CBSE rule. Will she get any exemption? Please answer me as soon as possible.

There is no such age criteria fixed by the board to appear in class 10th exam, however at the time of admission the student needs to fulfill the age criteria (minimum and maximum) as determined by the state government, U.T government and applicable to the place where school is located. The minimum age to appear for class 10 examination is 15 years.

I am happy to tell you that your ward will be allowed to appear in the class 10th CBSE Board examination when she will be in class 10th. According to her Date of Birth, she will be eligible to appear in the Board examination.
Candidates age must be in between 14 to 16 years at the time of examination of CBSE Board School.

Hi All, My Daughter is born on 30-04-2008. Now she is studying 5th Grade in currently abroad, we are planning relocation & in that case In her tenth class,(CBSE KARNATAKA STATE ) will she be eligible for board exams?
We were told by more than one school that she has to repeat a year else she doesn't meet the age criteria

Hi! My son is born on 23-Jun-2010 now (2018-19) he is pursuing 3rd class in CBSE, will he eligible for 10th exam, at the time of his 10th class. and My daughter is born on 05-Jan-2012 now (2018-19) she is pursuing 2nd class in CBSE, will she eligible for 10th exam, at the time of her 10th class.
