How should I prepare for bank exam? Which books are to be referred?


hello sir/mam......i am trying to attempt bank exams.....will you plz tell me how i need to prepare and give me lsit of some topics which are mostly asked and also suggest me some books regarding this..thank u

If you have decided to go into the banking sector then you should prepare yourself to crack the IBPS entrance exams.Because there are total 18 nationalised bank who used to recruit through IBPS.
IBPS is a national level entrance which is conducted by central committee for the selections of members to work in the Baning sector.Some of the reputed and big bank involve in IBPS are like SBI,Axis,HDFC,BOB,PNB etc.
Once you crack this exam you will be call for the interview as per your rank in th entrance exam.All the banks have their own requirements and thier own cut off.

This exams is conducted every year annualy and this exams is very essential for the students who wants to do jobs in Banking sector only.

Eligibility for the IBPS entrance exams are:-

1. candidate have to be indian cityzen
2. Candidate have to pass 12th from a recognized university
3. Age should be between 18 to 28 years
4. Candidate have to min 60% marks for general and obc
5. For sc/st just pass marks.
6. Age relaxation is for sc/st/obc/physically challanged person. for sc/st 5years. for obc 3 years for ph 5 years

Exam patterns From 2013 onwards are:-

(1) Reasoning 50 50
(2) English Language 50 50
(3) Numerical Ability 50 50 150min
(4) General Awareness with special reference to the Banking Industry 50 50
(5) Computer Knowledge 50 50

Preferable books for the prepration of the Banking exams are as below:-


-->> Verbal & Non Verbal Reasoning - R.S. Agarwal
-->> English Proficiency IMS India.
-->> Quantitative Aptitude book - R.S.Agarwal
-->> Logical Reasoning - S.Chand.
-->> reasoning- Mukesh khanna.

To give bank exams, you should know proper time management, and you should practice daily, through continuous practice only you can achieve success in these exams. You should prepare your own time table for your study and you should know your positive and negative areas and concentrate on the topics on which you are not confident and try to give more mock exams after your preparation daily this will help you in time management.

Few tips regarding the preparation of banking examinations:

# Devote atleast two hours of study to each and every section mention below:

* Mathematics
* English language
* Reasoning Ability
* General Studies & Current Affairs
* Computer Knowledge

# For mathematics section, you are required to study daily. Repeat the exercises many times in order to get mastery over it.

# For reasning ability, try to solve questions quickly and correctly. Only regular practice will help you to perfom in this section.

# For English language, try to improve knowledge in grammer, tense, one word substitution, comprehension, antonyms, synonyms etc.

# For General Studies & Current Affairs, please go through newspaper, books and watch news channel.

# Books helpful in the exam preparation:

* Arihant's General Studies
* Lucent's General Studies
* Reasoning Ability and Analytical Study by R.S. Aggrawal
* Objective English by R.S. Aggrawal
* Quicker Maths by M. Tyra
