Eligibility criteria
Should have passed or already appeared in 12th class recognized examination. (Students who are appearing in 12th class examination in March/April 2010 are also eligible to appear in CPT to be held on June 2010.

ICAI Common Proficiency Test (CPT) application forma is available on official website. They can get all information wombat application related information from official website.
How to Apply
The Interested candidate can also apply online and sent some along with recent passport size photograph affixed on the right hand corner of the application and attested copies certificate and a demand draft in favors of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Selection Procedure
Selection of the candidate is based on the personal interview and written test of the candidate. The candidate selection is also based on the rules and regulation of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

the procedure of the entrance exam is of objective type and there is also negative marking for each wrong answer,and the entrance exam is held twice in a year and the syllabus for that you can get in the official website of cpt,but it is same as class 11 and 12th commerce and with that and extra paper is added ie mercantile law .

the candidate may fill up the CPT 2010 examination application form online at http://icaiexam.icai.org from 6th April, 2010 (10:00 hrs) to 27th April, 2010 (17:30hrs) and remit the fee online by using credit card, either VISA or Master Card.

how much duration for registeration of cpt exam

hello, i am m.sc(math).further i want to start ca. i want to get full details that how can i start it . i am totally confused

i m himanshu persuing b.com (gen) 1st year from cu and i want to appear for cpt exam in the month of june 2011.
now could you please tell me when to enroll my name for that.do i have to enroll my name in the month of december

Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is an entry Stage test for Chartered Accountancy Course.

Education eligibility:--

minimum 12 th pass or even graduates are too allowed..

CPT exam conducts twice a year..in the month of

1st JUNE

1st OCTOBER

and notification come before 2 months ..(There are rarely chances of change in dates.)

THE exam pattern consists of 4 hours of two papers and each of 2 hours..

Syllabus

session I

Section A consists of Fundamental of Accounting of 60 marks

Section B consists of Mercentalie Law of 40 marks.

session II

Section A consists of General Economics of 50 marks

Section B consists of Quantitative of 50 marks.

i herd after completing above mentioned procedure we have to fill a examination form in which centers are alloted to us..!! where to get that form..!!
