I Was completed my Diploma in ECE during 2005. Past 5 years i am working in core industry. most of the core company's recruiting mechanical students. therefore i like to study B.tech Mechanical. is it correct ?

Hi friend,
For lateral entry in 2nd year of B.Tech course qualification required is diploma in that related field with at least 60% marks. It's not possible to switch to Mechanical engineering from ECE. You can persue B.Tech in ECE. There won't be less opportunities after completing B.Tech in ECE. There all are evergreen field.
After B.Tech if you want to join government job you will be able to do so clearing IES exam conducted by upsc or exams by other state level public services commissions.

sorry to say you that you cant take admission as laterall entry to mecanical department. you will have totake admission in first year not second year

first you clear all semester then you apply for entrance exam

WBJEE

OJEE
RJEE

then if you got this rank then you admission in A

hi,

You can't go with b.tech mechanical.

So better to go with the ECE branch.

ECE also an evergreen branch.

Through ECE also you can fetch good job...........

Dear Friend,

As you have done your Diploma in ECE, So there is no rule for direct entry of ECE diploma in B.Tech(Mechanical) 2nd year.

There are three mother streams known as Electrical, Mechanical and Civil. This streams can change their stream to any stream after diploma execpt mother streams. But Other streams cannot shift their stream to Mother streams.

So if you are interested in Mechanical B.Tech, then you have to give entrance exam of B.Tech or B.E. or you also can do AMIE in Mechanical.

I think AMIE is the best choice for you.

You can do AMIE as well as your Job together.....

Hi,

You can't do your B.tech in Mechanical after completion of your diploma.

So better to go with the B.tech of ECE.

Within 3 years you can complete your b.tech.

How Can I join 2nd year B.Tech CSE late entry from diploma in ECE? and i did complete with 69% in diploma.

You can't study MECHANICAL in B.tech.
You can STUDY MECHANICAL or ANY OTHER BRANCHES IN M.tech.
you should select ECE in B.tech.

Hi, If you have completed your diploma in ECE you can't be able to study B.Tech mechanical because only those students who have made their diploma in mechanical can join in B.Tech college with respect to their rank and category.But you have more options in B.Tech either ECE or EEE or CSE or IT.You need not to worry ECE has more job opportunities.
