I wants to do PhD in the organic branch of chemistry through any of the indian university on the par time basis.I can not afford full time because presently I am working as chemistry lecturer in the Govt institute.I have did MSc jn the organic chemistry with distinction.

Universities offering PhD in organic chemistry on the part time basis or correspondence are :-
1) JNTU, hyderabad.
2) University of hyderabad
3) delhi university

You can do Ph.D (Part-time) since you are employed at Govt.sector

You have not mentioned about your location

Most of the Universities offer Ph.D(Part-time) for persons employed in Schools/College/Polytechnic/Govt.

University of Madras offers admission to Ph.D four times in each quarter of the year, January, April, July and October

You have to get a certificate of No Objection from your college department

Dear friend, the eligibility for Ph.D after M.Sc course is as follows:

A First class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST) Master’s degree in Science or a first class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST) in Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology.Candidates meeting this requirement MUST also fulfill one of the following additional requirements:
• Valid GATE score
• CSIR / UGC / NBHM / DBT award
• Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience (for SW/SF/IS category)
• Minimum 6 months project work experience in IIT Bombay (for PS category)

However the eligibility may vary slightly for different universities. The duration of Ph.D is 2 years.
