Govt Dhanvantari Ayurvedic College, Ujjain
Government Dhanvantari Ayurvedic College is located in the historical city of Ujjain and the college is coming under the jurisdiction of Vikram University. The college is offering different courses in the traditional medical method of India known as Ayurveda.
Courses Offered:
The college is offering the following courses in the faculty of Ayurveda Medicine:
• UG course called as Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medical Science or BAMS
• PG course of MD in Ayurveda
• Ayurveda Compounder course

BAMS:
The duration of this course is five-and-half years, which includes one-year of internship. The intake capacity of the college for this course is 40 students per year and admission is made on the basis of the marks secured by the students in the entrance examination called as Pre-Ayurveda, Homeopathic, Unani Test. The educational qualification for this course is 10+2 in science stream with biology, chemistry and physics.
MD in Ayurveda:
The duration of this course is three years and the institution is offering this course in three specialties namely dravya guna, sharira rachana and kayachikitsa. The admission capacity of the college for this course is nine students per year.
Ayurveda Compounder course:
This is a certificate course extending to a period of one year and for this course, students must have completed their 10+2 under any stream. The intake capacity of the college for this course is 50 students per year and 15 more seats are reserved for candidates falling under reserved category.
Facilities in the college:
The management of the college offers several educational facilities for the students like herbal garden, audio-visual library, seminar hall, scanner, computer, LCD projector, slide projector and OHP.

Government Dhanvantari Ayurvedic College is located at Mangalnath road at about 5 km from the Dewas gate bus stand and railway station and it is 55 km away from Indore airport and 15 km from the Datana Matana Helipad.
