The Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education and Research was established in the year 1995. It was established by MAFER’S MIT Pune. It is located at Talegaon Dabhade in Pune. When it was established it was affiliated to the University of Pune but now it is affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nasik. The institute is recognized by the Medical Council of India.

Campus

The college is a huge one with all the facilities for the medical studies to take place. There are libraries for each and every department.  The libraries have all the books and journals which are both national and international. There are separate hostels for both the boys and the girls. The rooms are hygienic and well furnished with proper water facilities. There is gymnasium in both the hostels. There are common rooms for the students to relax and have fun. There are cricket and volleyball grounds. There are rooms where one can play table tennis and other indoor games. There are also blood bank, internet facility and museum for the students.

Courses Offered

The courses offered by the institute is Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery commonly known as the MBBS. There are a total of 21 departments in the Institute.

Admission Procedure

The Admission to the institute is based on the merit obtained by the student in the AMUPMDC CET Entrance Examination.

Placements

With regard to the placements, some of them become medical practices and some of them work on the institute itself while some are hired by the other institutes and colleges.
