Name of the Vacancy: Medical Faculty

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 88, which is divided among the different positions as follows:

• Professors – 03 posts

• Associate Professor – 11 posts

• Assistant Professor – 05 posts

• Tutor/Demonstrator – 11 posts

• Senior Resident – 19 posts

• Junior Resident – 39 posts

Pay scale: The consolidated salary fixed by BFUHS for each of these positions is given below:

• Professor: 90,000 + 10,000 HRA + 1500 AA

• Assoc. Professor: 75,000+10,000 HRA + 1500 AA

• Assistant Professor: 70,000 + 5000 HRA +1500AA

• Senior Resident: Rs. 42,000/-

• Junior Resident/Demonstrator/Tutor: Rs. 35,000/-

Eligibility requirements:

Education: For each of the position, candidates will have to possess appropriate qualification according to the norms of Medical Council of India.

Age: Upper age limit for the position of Associate professor is 50 years and for assistant professor is 45 years as on the last date of submission of application. Age limit will be relaxed according to the norms of the Government of Punjab. Even retired people can apply for other positions if they are not more than 65 years of age.
