Indian Institute of Technology (Kharagpur) was established in the year 1951 as an education and research institution. The institute aims to provide higher education in the field of engineering, technology and management. The institute has an academic staff of 470 personnel and administrative staff of 2403 people. The campus of the institute is spreaded in an area of 2100 acres. Mr. Arun Kumar Majumdar is the Deputy Director of the institute while Mr. Damodar Acharya is on the position of Director. 1. Recruitment of Professor:
Educational Qualification: Candidates are required to possess Ph.D. degree in concerned discipline with minimum 60% marks or equivalent at the preceeding degree in an appropriate branch. Candidates are required to have a good academic record throughout. Minimum 10 years of teaching or research or indurstrial experience is required for the specified post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10500.

2. Recruitment of Associate Professor:
Educational Qualification: Candidates are required to possess Ph.D. degree in concerned discipline with minimum 60% marks or equivalent at the preceeding degree in an appropriate branch. Candidates are required to have a good academic record throughout. Minimum 6 years of teaching or research or indurstrial experience is required for the specified post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 9500.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Professor:
Educational Qualification: Candidates are required to possess Ph.D. degree in concerned discipline with minimum 60% marks or equivalent at the preceeding degree in an appropriate branch. Candidates are required to have a good academic record throughout. Minimum 3 years of teaching or research or indurstrial experience is required for the specified post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8000.

Selection Process:

Selection process for the above specified faculty positions is comprises of a Personal Interview Test only. Candidates are required to perform well in the test for ensuring their selection on the desired position.
