Amar Shaheed Baba Ajit Singh Jujhar Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy came into existence in the year 1993 in the name of College of Pharmacy. The college began its journey with Diploma in Pharmacy course and it has been making study progress right from its inception. In the year 2000, Bachelor of Pharmacy course was started and later Master of Pharmacy course was introduced in the year 2006.

Ph. D course in pharmaceutical sciences was also introduced by the college in the year 2006. The courses by the college are approved by the AICTE, PCI and Government of Punjab.

Intake Capacity:

Amar Shaheed Baba Ajit Singh Jujhar Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy is approved with an intake capacity of 60 students per year for the B. Pharm course, while the intake capacity of M. Pharm course is 92 in total, which is divided as 18 seats each for pharm. Analysis and pharm. Chemistry, 10 seats each for pharmacology and Pharmacognosy and 36 seats for pharmaceutics.

Eligibility requirement and admission procedure:

For getting into the B. Pharm course offered by Amar Shaheed Baba Ajit Singh Jujhar Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy, candidates must have completed their 10+2 with science subjects. Admission of students to this course is done based on the CET score secured by the students conducted by the Punjab Technical University located in Jalandhar followed by counseling. Some of the seats are also filled through AIEEE score, out of the total number of seats for this course, 85% is filled through CET and 15% is filled through AIEEE score. Candidates with Diploma in Pharmacy course are offered direct admission to the second year of the B. Pharm course in case they have completed their D. Pharm with not less than 50% of marks.
