Government of Assam is conducting an entrance exam called as Assam Common Entrance Examination- B Tech (Assam CEE B Tech) for students interested in engineering. The students selected by this exam will be given admission in various engineering colleges in the state. Some of the engineering colleges are very famous around the country.

Structure of Assam CEE B Tech

The exam is based on objective type multiple choices will be available for the candidates. They should select the correct answer from the group of choices. All together 300 questions will be there for the candidate to attend. These 300 questions should be completed in 540minutes i.e. in 9 hours. Small breaks will be given after the completion of each exam.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates who have completed higher secondary with physics, maths and chemistry along with English can apply.
• More seats will be reserved for candidates from Assam.
• Only limited seats are reserved for students from other states.
• An Indian citizen can apply for this exam.
• The age of the candidate applying should not be above 21 and below 17.

Age relaxation is there for reserved categories.

How to Apply?

Candidates will be able to get their forms and brochure from the post offices across the state of Assam. The form will not be available from the colleges where this exam is conducted. The candidates will need to pay the examination fee. The candidates should pay the fee in the post office and acquire the form. Forms will be available from the Month of April.

How to fill the Form?

Another important task in front of the candidate is filling the form. Take your own time for filling the form. Mostly all the students fill the form in a hurry and often end up rejecting their forms. So that more care should be given on filling the form. Fill each and every columns in the form, donot leave any column blank. The details furnished should be correct and candidate should be able to give relevant proofs on the time of admission.

Study Plan

As any other entrance examination all the candidates appearing or this exam will have some fear and tension in their mind. But this tension and fear can be easily avoided if the candidates make a plan to finish each subject in within the time limit. As this is an engineering entrance exam more stress should be given to mathematics. All modules of this subject should be covered accordingly. After completing maths,students can go or other subjects.
