Assistant Directors, UPSC (Finance Ministry)
Union public service commission is responsible for the recruitment of officers/students under the union/central government, advising the government on all the matters of recruitment methods, handle the disciplinary cases relating to civil services and to select the persons to meet the all India services.
Job profile: The assistant directors will be working under various departments of the finance ministry. They will have the responsibilities like controlling accounts, costing and evaluation. They will be required to provide advisory services to the higher authorities.
Eligibility: A candidate must not exceed the age of 35 years as on 01/10/09. However relaxation can be claimed as per the rules.
Educational Qualifications: A candidate must be have a recognized qualification like CA/ICWA etc. for getting enrolled with the Register of Members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants or of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or an equivalent. A candidate having experience in the concerned area will have the preference.
No. of posts: There are 14 posts in total out of which 2 posts are reserved for SCs and 4 posts are reserved for the OBCs.
Pay scale: The assistant directors will be given the pay scale of Rs15600-39100 plus a grade pay of Rs5400.
Selection process: The candidates will have to appear for an interview/written test as decided by the authorities. The candidates will be selected on the basis of merit.
How to apply: The candidates are required to apply as per the format given on the website. The candidates must send the copies of their attested enclosures and the candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs50 (no fee for SC/ST/PH) in the form of postage stamp (to be affixed on the form). All the applications must be sent to the Secretary, UPSC, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi – 110069
The last date for the receipt of applications is 1st October 2009.
