Assistant Sub-Inspectors, Border Security Force
Border Security Force was formed in the year 1965. Its main functions include providing security in the border areas, preventing trans border crimes, unauthorized entry or exit, preventing smuggling and other illegal activities. It also promotes welfare activities. It is respected for serving the nation and its people in a great way.
Job profile: The assistant sub inspectors would be required to work n the radio and TV technology department. They will be required to trace the important links through videos and audios etc. They will b required to support their seniors also in various cases.
Eligibility: A candidate must not exceed the age of 25 years as on 10th November 2009. However, relaxation can be claimed as per the rooms. A candidate must also meet the minimum physical standards.
Educational Qualifications: A candidate must have a diploma in radio and TV technology, mechanical engineering, electronics and telecommunication engineering, electrical or computer engineering from a recognized university or an institution.
No. of posts: There are 42 posts in total which include 11 for SC, 9 for ST, 16 for OBC and 6 for UR candidates.
Pay scale: The assistant sub inspectors will be given a pay scale of Rs5200-20200 plus a grade pay of Rs2800.
Selection process: The candidates will have to undergo the physical test, written test and an interview. The selection will be on the basis of merit and all round performance. There will also be a final medical test.
How to apply: The candidates are required to apply as per the format given on the website. The candidates are required to send 2 self addressed envelops, 1 photograph (attested) and the copies of their certificates along with the applications. The candidates are also required to pay a fee of Rs50 (only for GEN/OBC) in the form of a DD or Postal order in the favor of The Inspector General or the DIG/Commandant to whom the application is to be sent payable at respective SBI/ post office.
The last date for the receipt of applications is 10th November 2009.
