C.M. Dubey Post Graduate College, shortly called as C.M.D. PG College was established in the year 1956 as a tool for augmenting and democratizing opportunities in higher education for the students living in the remote tribal and rural areas. The college is following the educational guidelines framed by Guru Ghasidas University and it is approved by UGC for receiving grants. In addition to receiving grants from UGC, the college is also receiving grants from the state government of Chhattisgarh for payment of monthly salary to non-teaching and teaching staff.

Above all, the college is offering extra book materials for B. Ed and M. Ed students, who are the future teachers.
