Dredging Corporation of India Limited was established in the year 1976 as a public sector unit under Government of India. The headquarter of the corporation is located at Visakhapatnam, India. Mr. S. S. Tripathi is the Chairman and Managing Director of the Dredging Corporation of India Limited. There are approximately thousand employees in the corporation. The corporation is mainly engaged in the business of dredging which includes dredging for Indian seaports. The main objective of the corporation is to perform dredging mainly for the Indian seaports.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from eligible and suitable candidates for the following vacant positions of Deck Officers, Engineer Officers, Mechanicians-III, Assistant Machinists, Seaman Helsman, Engine Room Ratings, Crew Cook, Assistant Manager and NCV Trainees (G. P. Ratings). Recruitment of candidates will be made on contract basis only.

1. Recruitment of Deck Officers:
Educational Qualification: Candidates should be holding COC/COS as Master(FG) to work as Dredge Master or Chief Officer.

2. Recruitment of Engineer Officers:
Educational Qualification: Candidates should be holding COC as MEO Class-I/II and IV certificate to work as Chief Engineer Officer.

3. Recruitment of Mechanicians-III:
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess MEO Class-IV Part-A certificates or COC as Sea Going Engine Driver with 3 years experience.

4. Recruitment of Assistant Machinists:
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess ITI Mechanical Fitter or Diploma in mechanical or Mrine Engineering with relevant experience.

5. Recruitment of Seaman Helsman:
Educational Qualification: Candidates should be holding COC as Rating forming part of Navigational Watch Keeping.

6. Recruitment of Engineer Room Ratings:
Educational Qualification: Candidates should be holding COC as Rating forming part of Engine Room watch keeping.

7. Recruitment of Crew Cook:
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess cook CDC as Cookery or COC or Pre Sea Training in catering discipline.

8. Recruitment of Assistant Manager:
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess NWKO or Dredge Mate Grade-II with relavant expeirence to work on dredge Back Hoe as officer incharge.

9. Recruitment of NCV Trainees (G. P. Rating):
Educational Qualification: Candidates should be minimum Xth class pass from a recognized education board and Pre Sea G. P. Rating course.
