Power Transmission Corporation of Uttaranchal Limited is an enterprise which comes under the Government of Uttarakhand. The company actually came into existence in the year 2004. The main objective of the corporation is to acquire, establish and construct extra high voltage, low voltage lines, medium voltage lines and high voltage lines. Job Profile:

Power Transmission Corporation of Uttaranchal Limited is inviting applications from eligible Indian Nationals for making appointment to the following position of Assistant Engineer Trainee (Electrical). Candidates are required to check all the eligibility conditions set for the post from the official website of the Power Transmission Corporation of Uttaranchal Limited.

Eligibility:

The age of the candidates should be more than 18 years as on 1 July 2011. However, the maximum age limit set for the specified post is 35 years. Reserved categories candidates will get relaxation in the upper age limit set for the post. SC/ST/OBC categories candidates will get relaxation of 5 years while Ex-Serviceman candidates will get relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the disciplines of Electrical, Electronics, Electrical & Electronics and Electronics & Communication. Candidates should have acquired atleast 60% marks in aggregate at Bachelor’s degree level. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories, needs to have only passing marks in the qualifying examination. This educational qualification criteria is strictly need to be followed by the interested candidates.

ST category candidates: Only 1 post is available.
OBC category candidates: Only 6 posts are available.

Application Fee:

Rs. 400 is the amount of application fee that is need to be submitted by the candidates belonging to General and OBC categories. SC/ST categories candidates are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 200 only. The application fee must be sent in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Managing Director, Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Ltd. payable at Dehradun. Candidates are required to write his/her name at the backside of the demand draft.

Selection Process:

Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of the final merit list prepared after the written test and personal interview test. The written examination will consists of objective type multiple choice questions.
