National Thermal Power Corporation is a state owned public enterprise founded in the year 1975. The headquarter of the corporation is located in Delhi. Mr. Arup Roy Chaudhary is the Chairman and managing Director of the corporation. The core business of the corporation is construction and operation of power generating plants. The corporation also provides consultancy to the power utilities in the country as well as in abroad. This state owned enterprise has a strength of total 26 thousand employees (approximately). The company was initially named National Thermal Power Corporation.

Eligible and qualified candidates are invited to apply on the following positions of Diploma Engineer Trainee in National Thermal Power Limited. The vacancies are to be filled for the projects of National Thermal Power Limited in various parts of India.

Eligibility:

Interested candidates are required to fulfill this age criteria or else their applications will not be considered by the company. Candidates are required to be within the prescribed age limit set for the post of Diploma Engineer Trainee in National Thermal Power Limited. Relaxation in the minimum age limit and maximum age limit may be provided to the reserved categories candidates.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates are required to have done Diploma in Engineering from a recognized institute or university of India. Candidates should also have acquired atleast 705 marks in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics or Mechanical or Civil or Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering. All interested candidates are required to have obtained the prescribed minimum educational qualification set for the post or else they would not be considered eligible for the specified position.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be paid the stipend of Rs. 15500 per month for a period of one year. After the successfull completion of their training period, candidates will be paid the consolidated salary of Rs. 15500-34500 per month.

General and OBC categories candidates are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 300 only. No fee is to be submitted or paid by the candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST). The submission of the prescribed amount of application fee is need to be done in the form of pay in slip or payment challan available at the website of company.

Selection Process:

Selection process for the position of Diploma Engineer Trainee in National Thermal Power Limited is comprises of two different stages. Candidates are required to get successfull in both the stages of the selection process for ensuring their selection on the specified position. The two stages of the selection process are:

i. Competitive Written Examination, and
ii. Personal Interview Test/Group Discussion.
