The commercial operations of this corporations began from the year 1996, which is the very next year of its inception. They are currently handling power projects in different locations and they are planning to expand their operations by setting up of power project for which they are looking for eminent personnel.

Orissa Hydro Power Corporation Limited invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Diploma Engineering Trainees.

Name of the position: Diploma Engineer Trainee (Electrical – 40, Civil – 10)

Number of Vacancies: Total number of Vacancies including electrical and civil engineering Diploma Engineer trainees is 50

Period of Training: One Year

Training Stipend: Diploma Engineer Trainees will be offered with a consolidated stipend of Rs. 8000 per month plus and in addition they will also be offered with medical allowance of Rs. 200 per month and an additional amount of Rs. 1000 per month will be paid for trainees, who are posted in Mukhiguda, Khatiguda, Potteru and Balimela for Remote Area Allowance.

Eligibility:

Educational Qualification:

DET (Electrical): Candidates must have done their Diploma in Electrical Engineering on a full-time basis from a recognized state council of Technical Education/institution/university with not less than 60% of aggregate marks.

DET (Civil): Candidates must have done their Diploma in Civil Engineering on a full-time basis from a recognized state council of Technical Education institution/university with not less than 60% of aggregate marks.

For both electrical and civil branches, candidates who are in the final year of their diploma course can also apply.

Age Requirement: To apply for the position of Diploma Engineer Trainee in OHPC, the minimum age requirement is 21 years and the maximum age requirement is 32 years as on 1st of May 2011. Upper Age limit is relaxed up to 10 years for PH Candidates,  three years for SEBC  and five year for SC/ST/Women/Ex-servicemen respectively.

Selection Procedure:

Selection of candidates for the position of Diploma Engineer Trainees will be based on their performance in the written test and personal interview.
