The National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) has excellent national level and community level mission. Few of the National level missions of NRHM are to reduce infant mortality rate, reduce maternal mortality rate, reduce malaria mortality rate, reduce Filaria/ Microfilaria rate, reduce dengue mortality rate, reduce Japanese Encephalitis mortality rate, eliminate Kala Azar, and increase cataract operations.

The NRHM also aims to make the total fertility rate to be 2.1. Few of the community level missions of the NRHM are to provide trained community level worker with a drug kit for generic ailments, to provide generic drugs for common ailments at sub-centre and hospital level, to provide improved outreach services through mobile medical units at district level. The NRHM further aims to offer 100% reliable health care at no financial risk with the help of pilots of community health insurance under the mission.

National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), Punjab invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Medical Officer (Female) on contract basis in different health Institutions at Punjab State.

Pay Scale – Rs. 35000 PM for MBBS candidates and Rs. 40000 PM for Gynecologist

Eligibility:

Age Criteria – The maximum age limit is 65 years (Relaxable as per rules).

Educational Qualification – The candidates must have done MBBS from any institution recognized by the Medical Council of India. They must have registered with Punjab Medical Council. The candidates with MD Obstetrics/ Gynae will be given preference. The candidates must have passed in Punjabi up to Matric standard.
