I have completed diploma in mechanical, can i be eligible to apply for the post of RTO or not?

Eligibility to apply for RTO:-

The eligibility criteria for becoming an RTO or Regional Transport Officer is given below:-

You must be a citizen of India.
You must have a graduate degree from a recognised University having more than 50%. marks.

Your age should be between 21 to 30 years if you belong to the general category.
If you belong to OBC category then your age should be between 21 to 33 years.
Your age should be between 21 to 35 years at maximum.

Selection procedure:-
Written exam
Interview .

The eligibility to apply for RTO(Regional Transport Officer) is a candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board. A candidate must be a graduate in any stream from a recognized university. Diploma candidates are also eligible for some posts. A candidate should be at least 18 years of age and must be an Indian citizen. There would be age relaxation for some categories.

Examination is conducted by State PCS for recruitment as RTO.

The required educational qualification to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university.

The age limit varies with examination. So, you cannot appear for the examination.on the basis of diploma qualification.

Those who have completed their graduation in any relevant field with atleast 55% marks from a recognised board are eligible.

Other than diploma course, you have to pursue bachelor degree course from a recognised university.

Examination is conducted in various stages and candidates have to appear and qualify in all stages of the examination for the final selection.
