You need to apply for polytechnic entrance exam for getting admission through lateral entry. Being an ITI diploma holder you will be eligible for lateral entry admission. You have to apply as ITI holder while filling the application form.

Polytechnic entrance exams are held on state level and you should apply for entrance exam of your own state because it will help you to get admission in government polytechnic. If you apply for other state exam then you will be only eligible for private colleges.
