Admission Process

Admission to the diploma course in Electrical Engineering is based on the scores obtained in Joint Entrance Examination (JEXPO). The exam is conducted by West Bengal State Council of Technical Education. Candidates who have passed Madhyamik Examination from West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent Board/Council with a minimum score in Science and Mathematics are eligible to apply. Application forms can be obtained from respective polytechnic institutes on a cash payment of Rs 300/-. Candidates are required to send the duly filled application along with a self addressed stamped envelope of Rs 55/- to  “Secretary, West Bengal State Council of Technical Education, “Kolkata Karigori Bhavan”, 2nd Floor, 110 S.N.Banerjee Road, Kolkata – 700 013”.
