Re: How to calculate GATE percentile?
Hi Dear
Gate calculation:- • Step 1 At first determine your All India Rank. This ranking will indicate your performance on the test relative to all of the other test-takers in your category. The person who has performed best in their respective category will receive a ranking of 1, the 2nd best receives a ranking of 2, and so on. Your individual rank should be provided with your test results. • Step 2 Then determine the total number of candidates appearing in your category. This may also be expressed as the total number of candidates appearing in your paper. Either way, this information should also be provided with your test results. • Step 3 Insert the information gathered from the first two steps into the formula: P= ((T-R) / R) x 100. P=Percentile, T=Total number of candidates, and R=All India Rank. For example, If your All India Rank was 700 and the total number of candidates in your category was 3,000, you would insert this information into the formula to get: P= ((3,000-700) / 3,000) x 100 • Step 4 Solve the equation. Using our example from the previous step, this would give us: P=((3,000-700) / 3,000) x 100 ---> P=(2,300 / 3,000) x 100 ---> P= 0.766 x 100 ---> P=76.6% Good Luck............ |

Re: How to calculate GATE percentile?
Calculating gate "Graduate aptitude test in Engineering" is quite simple. Just follow the steps below.
1. Determine your All India Rank. 2. Find out the total number of cadidates who appeared in your category. 3. Use the information you have gathered in the first two steps into a simple formula P= ((T-R) / R) x 100 Where P=Percentile, T=Total number of candidates, and R=All India Rank. |

Re: How to calculate GATE percentile?
You can calculate your GATE percentile as under-
1. First determine your All India Rank in GATE. Your Rank will be provided with your test results. 2. You have to determine the total number of candidates appeared in your paper. This is also provided with the test results. 3. Assign the information from the above two steps in the following equation P= ((T-R) / P) x 100 where P=GATE Percentile, T=Total number of candidates in your paper in GATE and R= your All India Rank in GATE For example, If your All India Rank was 500 and the total number of candidates in your category was 3000, The equation will be like this: P= ((3000-500) / 3000) x 100 P=(2500/3000)*100 P=0.833*100=83.3% So in the above example, your GATE Percentile is 83.3% |

Re: How to calculate GATE percentile?
Hello Friend,
Calculating a gate score is a simple task. The GATE percentile is calculated by a simple formula: P = ( (N- your rank)/ N) x 100 Where P : percentile N : total number of candidates appeared for exam. (N- Your rank) indicates the number of candidates who have scored less marks than you. |
