To become IAS officer, you will need to write civil service examination conducted by UPSC. This particuler examination is conducted for recruitment of both IPS and IAS officers. Candidates who score highest marks are selected for IAS and the rest qualified candidates are selected for IPS.

The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for the exam is a degree from a recognized university.

The minimum eligible age is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years for candidates belonging to general category, 33 years for OBC and 35 years for SC/ST.

Hi dude,

Yes dude you can apply for IAS exam but you need to complete your Graduation or you should be in final year of Graduation.

As you are in 3rd year of engineering you can apply next year.

UPSC conducts civil service exams .

IAS,IPS,IFS etc.. all such post`s are included in civil services.

To apply for Civil service exams you need to have completed your Graduation or should be in final year of Graduation.

Your age need to be between 21-30 years.

Age relaxation is only for SC/ST/OBC.

SC/ST-5 years,

OBC-3 years.

The attempts for General category are limited that is onlu 4 attempts.

Where as for OBC they are 7 attempts and for SC/ST no limit .

So first complete your Graduation or else wait till next year and apply for IAS exam.

To apply for Civil service exam visit the official website of UPSC at :- www.upsc.gov.in

ALL THE BEST !!!
