Re: Maharashtra Engineering Colleges Admission Procedure and Forms
Hi dear,
The admission to the Maharashtra Engineering Colleges is taken on the basis of entrance examination named MHT-CET. This year this entrance examination is scheduled to be held on 6th may 2010 and the last date of submission of application was 25th march. So, this year you won't be able to apply to the Maharashtra Engineering colleges through MHT-CET 2010. If your daughter has taken the AIEEE examination then she can apply to some of the(mostly private colleges) on the basis of AIEEE score. There use to be a good percentage of total seats (generally 15-25%) for AIEEE. You can directly apply to the colleges on the basis of AIEEE score. There more than 100 engineering college in Maharashtra so the details of each is difficult to display here. So, I would suggest you to Please visit the colleges' website for all queries regarding admission, fee detail, courses available etc. The list of all the engineering colleges in Maharashtra can be obtained at the following web addresses. http://www.indiaedu.com/maharashtra/colleges/engineering/ http://www.educationinfoindia.com/engg/maharashtraeng.htm Thanks |

Re: Maharashtra Engineering Colleges Admission Procedure and Forms
Dear,
if you have the domicile of maharashtra then only your daughter will be eligible for the admission in mumbai university colleges or any other college ion maharashtra...... all you have to do is to apply for MHT CET exam ....... the exam has no negative marking and so it is generally considered easier than any other engg exam.... visit the following website for more details :- http://www.dmer.org/vol.htm after the result are declared .....the counseling for college is online .... they are called as CAP rounds......there are total three round ......and so the details will be provided to you before the counseling...... best of luck |

Re: Maharashtra Engineering Colleges Admission Procedure and Forms
HI DEAR
students have to go through MHTCET entrance exam...which requires candidates domicile while admission. If the candidate qualifies..he is called for counseling and then colleges are alloted on the basis of your marks. But there are colleges here, private ones.which intake students on the basis of their 12th standard pcm aggregate and there are also 15% quota is available for aieee candidates in all the colleges of the state. Re: Maharashtra Engineering Colleges Admission Procedure and Forms
I have read entire chain of answers in this forum and found that some people are saying that taking MH-CET is a regional bios approach.
I am a Maharashtrian and i want to just tell those guys that why are you blaming maharashtra govt for MH-CET why dont you blame your state govts for not keeping the educational standards of your states to the states like Maharashtra and south indian states. We always mentained our standard of education here thats why we have good engineering colleges, IT parks in maharashtra. So just stop giving the reasons of biosness and just look out at your home states. |

Re: Maharashtra Engineering Colleges Admission Procedure and Forms
usually after the x11 board exams there is a gap of 45 days to prepare well for cet exam..after this, the results of x11 and following it, results of cet are declared. based on the marks scored out of 200 ,the student secures a seat in the engg colg,, the higher the score,,,the greater cahnce of the student securing seat in a top colg of his/her choice..!!!
