you are interested in commerce so ,i will suggest you to choose commerce+maths.there are several good career opportunities in this field but the best among these are -CA(chartered accountant) and CS(company secretary)

apart from these you can choose MBA,HOTEL MANAGEMENT e.t.c

Commerce is a very good option for your career.
I am really happy to know thar you want to become IAS.
If you prepare right from now, then it would be very easy for you to crack this civil service exam.

i am a student of class 10th and i am very confused on the matter of which subject i should opt for. I am interested in commerce and science both. If i take commerce i would only like to do mba, and not ca or cs. But if i do mba after doing engineering, would it be a better option? I am also worried about wheather i would be able to crack engineering exams as they are really tough. Please help!!

If you are personally interested in commerce then go for it ,It doesn't matter for IAS whether you are from Commerce or science background.

But burden on science student is more than a commerce student.

If go towards your interest then you will get good score in 12th standard.

Also Commerce+maths = more career opportunities

So I highly recommend you to join commerce and after your 12th you can join BBA and then prepare damn hard for IAS.

The best is you can go for MCA..
Or you can go for MBA but firstly you need to do graduation course which is B.com..
So it is depend on you what you choose MBA or MCA..
I will suggest you MBA is good option and after that you have greater chances of job placement ..

if you are personally interested to commerce so obviously you should take admission in commerce.

for IAS you have to appear in civil service examination. in civil service examination the eligibility criterion is candidate should have minimum of graduation degree in any discipline. so science graduate are eligible and commerce graduate are also available.

now in civil service there are subject from various stream of study. so you don't have to face problem from this. then why you will take science as you are not interested on science?

you should go according to your interest. then only you will reach at the optimum of success. even unfortunate if you fail to become IAS officer then there will be other option for you if you go according to your interest. but if you go with science stream then may be that your result will not be good or you will be unable to work in the field of science.

so without any hesitation take admission in commerce. after that do graduation in commerce field. then appear in civil service examination.

Well commerce and maths combination is very demanding for the civil services and CA field.
These combination has beneficial for a candidate who will appeared for the IAS, IPS and other civil services.
So, nothing wrong with these subject just go ahead it will give you the good career prospects.
You can also go for BCA, CA, CS, ICAWI, etc.

i think you should take commerse +maths because that has great job opportunities and you can also join defence forces if you would like to.

You can go for
1. CA (Charted Accountancy).
2. CS (Compani secratry)
3. B.com
4. BBA
5. BCA
Etc.
Choose any one according to your own intrest.
