Re: Which engineering stream has good scope in future?
Hello,
Please think about the scope of the branch, select a branch depending on your interest. Lets say that mechanical has a good scope, but your interest is in computers, then there would be no point in selecting mechanical as per our suggestion, as you may not be able to give your 100% to it. But coming to your point, MEchanical and electronics has the highest demand in terms of todays market, as the public sector is a big recruiter for these engineers. However, Computer science and IT has the highest demand by private sector which is very lucrative. Talk to your parents regarding this, as they are best guides for your career. Good Luck!! |

Re: Which engineering stream has good scope in future?
Quote:
That completely depends on one's choice. All branches are good enough to secure your future but one's choice, attitude, working capability etc matter all the time. eg. If you are not interested in Biotechnology then you can't be good in that despite its scopes are wide. You might like making your own design for a car or a building. Then you can go for Automobile/Mechanical or Civil/Mechanical/B.Arch respectively. So, dear it all should be convinced with your liking. Think deeply and then choose one. If still confused then go for Mechanical/Electrical. both are evergreen branch and have a wide scope even if you are not genius. Thank you |

Re: Which engineering stream has good scope in future?
Hi!
All the conventional engineering branches like civil, mechanical, electrical, EC, IT etc. have good scope in India with fat pay packets & attractive bonuses. So, you can choose any of them depending upon your interest & your potential to excel in the selected field. However, you can also choose among a no.of new electives with promising career like aeronautics, robotics, nano-biotechnology etc. |

dear friend
in engineering mechanical, electrical, civil, production all these branches are core streams . these are off field work branches. these are evergreen streams with saturated market all the time. Computer science , IT these are software branches . in upcoming years a lot of money will be invested in infrastructure, power, transportation, mining and many more. so i will suggest u to go for core streams. all the best. |

Re: Which engineering stream has good scope in future?
All the engineering streams have got its own importance, when scope of a good career
comes into picture. There is nothing like this stream has no future... even thinking as such is foolish. Of course, sometimes there would be a scenario of less/no jobs in extreme economical conditions of country such as the recent recession. So, in that regard people recommend for evergreen streams to avoid problems as such. Some of such evergreen streams are... *MECH ENGG *ECE '' '' *EEE '' '' *CIVIL '' '' *TEXTILE '' *CHEMICAL '' *AUTOMOBILE '' *AERONAUTICAL '', etc., In present situation, BIO-TECH is an emerging one.. it has a good demand these days. Hope you get a clear idea now. Regards, MASK |

Re: Which engineering stream has good scope in future?
hi friend,
Always select core branches to ensure your career in respect of jobs. Core branches are Electrical, Mechanical, Civil only. Sorry to say this that ECE, CSE, IT , EIE, Aeronautical..... all are derived branches from them. Now it depends upon you whether you want a govt. job or a private one. For a private job IT stream is best. And now a days ECE and CIVIL branches are booming. But you can easily see that core branches have their vacancy in every govt. organisation. Please do read recruitment notices of govt. companies. ECE or EIE branches are sometimes not included in the eligibility criteria of PSUs. |

Good luck !! |

Re: Which engineering stream has good scope in future?
dear friend,
according to my opinion every engg core stream r good.bt u don't take any software related stream likes CSE,ECE,EIE,IT etc.because now software market is very down.u always choose any core stream likes 1.CIVIL ENGG 2.MECHANICAL ENGG. 3.ELECTRICAL ENGG 4.PRODUCTION ENGG 5.AUTOMOBILE ENGG. ETC.Every core stream r good.u may choose any of above streams. for core engg jobs r 1.construction job, 2.power plant 3.bsnl. 4.railway 5.tata motors 6.tata steel 7.tata ryerson 8.tata power 9.jindal steel& power 10.reliance power etc. so take decission &make ur bright future. good luck. |

Re: Which engineering stream has good scope in future?
In engineering mainly there are two types of stream :-
1) Software stream 2) Core stream In my opinion they are both very in their own respect 1) Software stream :- Generally two departments are there like Computer sc. & engg. And Information Technology. Scope in future:- Now-a-days as recession is going on so it's better to choose core streams. But after 3-4 years it's market value will be much better. 2) Core Stream :- Generally consists of the streams like ME,Civil,EE,EEE etc. Job opportunity is really better now in the core stream and you can go for this. |

Taking any branch promises you a good career.
Currently automobile engineering gives good scope as many automobile companies are rushing to setup industries here.Civil Engineering and architecture boom is rising. IT industry always has ups and downs as it is based on Outsourcing alone. Chemical Engineering also rises up.As the new industries are growing. |

All engineering branches are GOOD, but it depends on you how you excel in that.
You can try for branches that are industry oriented like MECHATRONICS, which is nowadays in demand as it uses advantages of electronics and mechanical branch. But at the end its your interest. So Best Of Luck. |
