I took science-B group i.e. biology
I don't know what to opt for-medical or biotechnology
My father says biotechnology has no scope in the future!!!
which are the other fields that is likely medical

The most promising and rewarding career option through biology is medical.But in INDIA there are very few seats for this prestigious profession so it requires a loads of effort
and hard work .Besides ther are other hot careers waiting in line for students through biology like Microbiology,Genetics,Biochemistry,Life sciences through these you can
either go for research sector or do M.Sc, then P.hd and get a very comfortable and rewarding career .Wish you all the best.

i think u can start a good carieer after 12th,if u have biology in ur 12th class.
the choice of sectormeans in which sector u want to go.that totally depend upon u.
if u r interested to join medical sector u can go obviously.
in medical sectoe u get the department like
1.MBBS
2.BDS

and if u r interested to join technical sector u can also go.
in technical sector u get the departments like
1.bio-tech.
2.micro biology
etc
so totally ur choice

There are some fields after +2 with biology.

You can opt B.sc with medical and then select your biology as major subject at M.sc level.

If no,then You can opt B.sc(Hons.) Biology. But this type of B.sc can not offer all colleges.

You will choose universities and top level colleges.

You can go for MBBS. for MBBS you can go for top medical colleges in india through pre-medical entrance examination. like AIIMS etc.

Don't worry, The 50% percentage for +2 medical students is good.
you can go for B.sc biology. There is more scope of B.sc biology.

After B.sc biology you can go for M.sc biology.

After 12th,you can opt biotechnology which is a bright barrier option.with biology as your graduation you can take NET to be an lecturer in a reputed institution/university.alongwith you can opt microbiology, pharmaceutical,clinical research,botanist etc. as barrier option.

after 12 th with biology you can go for madical entrance exam(AIPMT)
other wise you hv a choice for B.tech also
And also Bsc.

you can do MBBS or BDS or you can go for B.Sc. in Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Life Science, Applied Life Science or you can do B.Tech. in Biotechnology.

You can prepare for MBBS.You can also do B.Sc Biotechnology and then M.Sc Biotechnology.

i want to opt mbbs but it's too long. What are the other available options?

A. Know, dear friend, that there is actually no problem for general category students, and if there is, your dedication and sincerity can force it to submission. Tell your parents the lines of Robert Frost

And that has made all the difference."

And remark, that although the general category faces tougher competition because of reservation, you can score well if you will to. Best Wishes

Biology is a broad discipline which consists of many sub disciplines. You man not find any course other than BSc offering biology as a special subject.

You can however do courses in related discipline where you will get an opportunity to learn biology. Some of the courses which you can pursue are:
MBBS
BDS
Biotechnology
BPharma
Microbiology

i am a average student so i am confused what to do after 12th in bio field.

i want to be there in commercial pilot field...by opting bio as a subject...what are the procedure..

After doing biology in 12th many would go in medical line or engineering line.

But as your interested in Bsc i suggest you the following courses.

Bsc pharma

Bsc botany

Bsc zoology

Bsc bio chemistry

The above are courses to be mostly obtained by bio group students in arts

and science.

You should go for state PMT or CPMT...
State PMT-which is conducted by state but i will tell you from next year only one Exam will be held..
CPMT-which is conducted by CBSE

Since you have Biology background,I would suggest you to go for a degree course in Bio technology . I feel thereafter you can do MBA in Hospital Administration so that it will be relevant to your field.

Firstly you can go for state PMT test....
or you can go for CPMT which is conducted by CBSE....
and state PMT is conducted by state.....
if you clear any of these two tests then you will get good government college to make your future well..

You may apply for any degree. You may choose MBBS, BDS, BE, B Tech.,B.Sc,.. anything
