Dear firstly the educational qualification is graduation and the age limit is 21 years,then you have to give entrance exam conducted by UPSC and if you are in top 100th you will be called for the interview after that if you will be selected in interview then you will be an IAS.

First of all you have to take bachelors degree from a recognised university or institution. Then you should qualify the entrance exam .If you have scored a good rank, then you will be called for an interview.If selected, you must undergo a training. to become an ias officer you only have to become a graduate. either you can do btech, bsc, bca, bba etc and you will become eligible for the exam. but the exam is very tough so you must start preparing for it also.

But for mains, you need to have one more optionals which you can consider zoology, botany or psychology. You have animal husbandary. But you should not choose as you have taken medical science. You haven't stated the subject you have chosen to suggest the study materials. For the various subjects, you have various books to refer. But for prilims, You can consider 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th NCERT books to prepare. The questions are considered to be of that level. Do mention you optional subjects to get good suggestion on study materials. Good Luck. |

To be an IAS officer, you have to appear for a civil service examination. the minimum qualification of a civil service exam is minimum 50% at graduation level. you can become an IAS officer by passing UPSC exam with good AIR . your rank should be under 1 to 50 ( for general students). the minimum qualification is pass in graduation in any discipline. all the best. |

To become an IAS officer you have to first complete your graduation then you have to appear in IAS exam which is conducted by UPSC.. there are two parts of the exam one is prelims, and the other one is mains.. after clearing these exams they will call you for General discussion, interview,medical test... if you able to clear all these test then they will send you for training.. after completion of your training you will become IAS officer... you can get the administrative job like DM,IPS etc.. so , if you really want to be an IAS officer then get prepared for IAS exam.. it will be better for you to join coaching classes.. all the best.. |

It is considered one of the toughest exam in the country so you will have put a lots of effort for that... The minimum eligibility requirement for the IAS exam is that you must be a graduate with minimum of 60 % marks scored in the graduatio... Thereafter you will have to sit for the SSC examination,then after getting selected you will 6 months training for the IAS services.. To be an IAS officer you have to be a graduate. The eligibility criteria for IAS is that a candidate should be a graduate from any recognized University. You should be a citizen of India. The minimum age of the candidate should be 21 years and should not be more than 30 years.

IAS Entance is quite tough. You should update to the latest news. There is a choice also for two of your main subjects. English and G.K is common for all. Age limit is 21-30 years but relaxation for reserved categories. Eligibility is grauation. You can take coaching also for the best preparation.
