hello friend,according to my knowledge graduation in any tread is main qualification required to become an IAS...

Dear firstly the educational qualification is graduation and the age limit is 21 years,then you have to give entrance exam conducted by UPSC and if you are in top 100th you will be called for the interview after that if you will be selected in interview then you will be an IAS.

First of all you have to take bachelors degree from a recognised university or institution. Then you should qualify the entrance exam .If you have scored a good rank, then you will be called for an interview.If selected, you must undergo a training. After that you are applicable in this carrier.

As you want to became an I.A.S officer you will have to give UPSC exam for becoming an IAS officer,and for giving the exam you must at least has to complete your graduation and then only you can apply for the exam .

To become an IAS officer you have be garduate in any stream with 50%.
After that you have to appear in written exam , after clearing the exam there is GD, Interview and training etc.

to become an ias officer you only have to become a graduate. either you can do btech, bsc, bca, bba etc and you will become eligible for the exam. but the exam is very tough so you must start preparing for it also.

Hi,
There is a seperate optional subject, medical science for both prilims and Mains. You can take Medical science as your optionals for prilims exam. But for mains, you need to have one more optionals which you can consider zoology, botany or psychology. You have animal husbandary. But you should not choose as you have taken medical science.

You haven't stated the subject you have chosen to suggest the study materials. For the various subjects, you have various books to refer.
But for prilims, You can consider 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th NCERT books to prepare. The questions are considered to be of that level.

Do mention you optional subjects to get good suggestion on study materials.

Hi,
TO BECOME AN IPS OFFICER
On completing a graduation course (Graduation is must for CSE Examination), One need to apply for the UPSC CSE examination conducted in the month of May. The notifcation and details of application for this Examination will be given in the Employment news in the month of January. Do keep checking the Employment news for notification.
Can also find it in the UPSC website : http://www.upsc.gov.in/
The CSE Examination happens three phase, PRilims, Mains and Personality test.
On applying, He will appear for prilims inthe month of amy. On clearing the Exam, He will be contacted by UPSC for further proceedings.
He will be sent an application form by UPSC for MAin Examination.

On clearing the Main Examination, You will be called for personality Interview. On passing the personality test,
He will be given Rank list based on the performance in all the three Exams. Based on the rank, He will be granted his service based on availability and merit.

No particular percentage in graduation is needed to appear for the Examination. All needed is the pass percentage and also graduation from a recognised university. Correspondance or part time doesnot matter.

the minimum qualification of a civil service exam is minimum 50% at graduation level.

All subjects you take needs special importance. You need to give special importance mainly during choosing the subjects. Once done, You are half way through. There are 27 subjects and all that 27 subjects has a graduation. So it is tough to sort out in that way.

So you better choose your graduation based on your Interest and that will obviously help you in IAS.

Yes. Obviously. Your physical Fitness is very Important. On clearing your IAS Exam procedures, You will be put to physical fitness test. Only on clearing that, You will be sent for training.

To become an IAS officer you have to first complete your graduation then you have to appear in IAS exam which is conducted by UPSC..

there are two parts of the exam one is prelims, and the other one is mains..

after clearing these exams they will call you for General discussion, interview,medical test... if you able to clear all these test then they will send you for training..
after completion of your training you will become IAS officer...

you can get the administrative job like DM,IPS etc..

so , if you really want to be an IAS officer then get prepared for IAS exam..

it will be better for you to join coaching classes..

The minimum eligibility requirement for the IAS exam is that you must be a graduate with minimum of 60 % marks scored in the graduatio...

Thereafter you will have to sit for the SSC examination,then after getting selected you will 6 months training for the IAS services..

Then you will be appointed as the IAS officer of certain District...

To be an IAS officer you have to be a graduate. The eligibility criteria for IAS is that a candidate should be a graduate from any recognized University. You should be a citizen of India. The minimum age of the candidate should be 21 years and should not be more than 30 years.
