You need to be a graduate at least to be eligible for the civil services exam for IAS. For IAS you need to apply for the Civil Servises exam. The notification for the exam will come in the month of january in the employment newspaper. The form will be available at the cost of Rs. 25 and you need to affix a CRF stamp on it of Rs 100. You can get the detailed information about this exam on the website upsc.gov.in. check it during january. The exam is divided into two exams. Prelims will be conducted in the month of May and it will consist GK and Aptitude only. In Mains you need to choose subjects and it will be purely written essays and debates. |

Re: How to beome an IAS officer? what is the qualification required?
Become an IAS
There are 2 written tests conducted as part of the IAS exam. They are the preliminary and main exam. According to the new pattern, there will be a Civil Service aptitude test instead of the Preliminary test. The test pattern will be of objective type. It consists of questions on common aptitude and general studies. Aspirants who have passed graduation in any streams are qualified for the Civil Service exam. you should be age 21 years or above, but should not exceed 30 years of age. In addition, applicants are required to be Indian citizens. The Civil Service forms are issued in all General Post Offices countrywide. some tips:-you should Read newspaper daily read G.K books and Make notes of your ncert books from class 6th to class 10th for all subjects geo for class 11th and class 12th as well history of class 11th atleast. No. of attempts - for genrel 4 attempts for OBCs 7 attemps and no limit for SCs/STs |
