The minimum eligibility criteria for it is your must be a gradute in any field,But it is not an easy task you have appear for an entrance which is conducted every year by UPSC, official websitehttp://www.upsc.gov.in after cracking several rounds of entrance's you have crack GD session,then an interview,then medical fitness test,then you will be sent for training after you will be appointed as an IAS officer. IAS is commonly known as Indian Administrative Services. To become an IAs officer you need to clear UPSC Civil Services Examination. You can sit for the exam provided you follow the eligibility norms: ** You must have completed your graduation in any stream. ** Final year candidates may also apply. ** Your age should be between 21 to 30 years. There is age relaxation given for reserved categories. You need to write Civil Service Exam to become an IAS or IPS officer.
You should be citizen of India and your age must be not less than 21 years and should not more than 30 years for general category candidates ,Up to 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates and Up to 3 years relaxation for OBC candidates. IAS - Indian Administartive Services UPSC - Union Public Service Commission conducts CSAT - Civil Services Aptitude Test for IAS. There are three stages of this exam - 1- Preliminary exam 2- Main exam 3- Interview Eligibility criteria for CSAT- 1. to become an IAS Officer you have to appear for the UPSC Civil Services Exam which happens in 3 stages. The Prelims sometime in May, then the Mains Exam and the Interview. To get into the IAS, you probably will have to try more than once before you succeed. So, basically getting into the IAS is not that easy. |
