hi friend,

IAS exam is conducted by UPSC every year. The eligibility criteria for this exam is-
* The candidate must be a citizen of India.
* The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree in any field from a recognised university.
* The minimum age is 21 years.
The upper age limit for general category is 30 years, for SC/ST category 35 years and for OBC category 33 years.
Maximum number of attempts is-
* General - 4
* SC/ST - No restriction
* OBC - 7
These apply for both men and women.
For IAS exam you must have sound knowledge of Indian history, economics, politics, geography, current affairs, general knowledge.
Also you should practice for interview.

Indian Administrative Service (IAS) exam is conducted by UPSC in every year.

The minimum eligibility criteria for it is your must be a gradute in any field,But it is not an easy task you have appear for an entrance which is conducted every year by UPSC, official websitehttp://www.upsc.gov.in

after cracking several rounds of entrance's you have crack GD session,then an interview,then medical fitness test,then you will be sent for training after you will be appointed as an IAS officer.

Its nice to see that you are aspiring to become an IAS officer.

IAS is commonly known as Indian Administrative Services.
To become an IAs officer you need to clear UPSC Civil Services Examination.

You can sit for the exam provided you follow the eligibility norms:

** You must have completed your graduation in any stream.

** Final year candidates may also apply.

** Your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

There is age relaxation given for reserved categories.
SC/ST- 5 yrs
OBC- 3 yrs
PH- 10 yrs

Number of attempts:

4 in case of general
7 in case of OBC &
unlimited in case of SC/ST till they attain the age of 35 years.

There are 3 stages of examination:
Preliminary
Mains
Interview

According to latest pattern Preliminary exam is known as CSAT.

You need to write Civil Service Exam to become an IAS or IPS officer.
You should be citizen of India and your age must be not less than 21 years and should not more than 30 years for general category candidates ,Up to 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates and Up to 3 years relaxation for OBC candidates.

Minimum Education Qualification:-

Graduation from recognized University
Final year students who are awaiting for results are also apply

Number of Attempts:-

For SC/ST candidates there is no limit
For OBC candidates maximum number of attempts are 4
For General category candidates maximum limit is 7 attempts

IAS - Indian Administartive Services

UPSC - Union Public Service Commission conducts CSAT - Civil Services Aptitude Test for IAS.

There are three stages of this exam -

1- Preliminary exam
2- Main exam
3- Interview

Eligibility criteria for CSAT-

1. Candidate should be of Indian origin.

2- Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university.

3- Age - 21-30 years.

So, if you want to become an IAS officer , you should be a graduate.

The Procedure to become a IAS officer is by writing the entrance exam and this exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission and is held every year.

There are qualification which are needed to be satisfied for applying:

Qualification Needed:

-> First of all the candidate should be a citizen of India

-> The age limit needed for the exam is 21-30 years of age.

-> If you are Sc/St candidate will get exception of 5 years as you need to have 21-35 years of age.

-> For OBC Candidate should have 21-33 years of age.

-> The education qualification needed for the IAS exam is that the candidate should have completed a degree from a recognized university with a fair percentage and it can be done in any discipline.

-> Even final year exam candidate is eligible for applying for the exam.

to become an IAS Officer you have to appear for the UPSC Civil Services Exam which happens in 3 stages.

The Prelims sometime in May, then the Mains Exam
and the Interview. To get into the IAS, you probably will have to try more than once before you succeed. So, basically getting into the IAS is not that easy.

The exam is hld in two phases:
*Prelims
*Mains

For its preparation following are the tips::

1.Read newspaper for General awareness
2.Praepare aptitude form rs aggarwal
3.Read geography science history books of cbse from 6th till 10th
4.There are 2 optionals in Mains
5.Study also political science subjets etc for its preparation
6.Study daily for 4-5 yrs
7.Never skip your studies
8.Also you can consult books and they will be available in the market

Dear..

If you want to be an IAS officer and stuck in the field of decision making due to less knowledge of course then let me tell you that if you read further then you will get all the information required by you :-

Eligibility:-

Education :-

A minimum of graduation is required to complete the course
Graduation can be done from any college but it must be recognized by some valid university

Age limit :-

Minimum age is 21
Max age is 30

Relaxation :-

3 Years for a OBC candidate
5 Years for a SC & ST candidate

Subjects :- NO preferred subject and student from any stream can apply

Attempts :-

4 for General
7 for OBC
Unlimited for Sc & st candidate

Percentage :-

No minimum percentage criteria.


Okay the exam is conducted in 3 stages :-
Preliminary
Mains
Interview

To become an IAS officer you meet the eligiblity criteria which is as follows:
1.The candidate hold graduation degree from recognized university.
2.Age limit:
1.for general 21-30 yrs
2.for obc 21-33 yrs
3.for sc/st 21-35 yrs.

After you meet the above mentioned criteria then you can apply for the exam at www.upsconline.nic.in after the notification for the exam is issued and the exam is held in the following phases:

1.Prelims
2.Those who clear it will go for Mains
3.Final Interview round.


For its coaching you can refer to the best coaching centres in your area/city .

Eligibility criteria for IAS officer is given below :-

1] Educational qualifications :-

>> The candidate must be completed his/ her graduation from any recognized university.

>> The candidate who is appearing in final year can also apply for exam.

2] Age limit :-

>> The age limit of the candidate must be between 21 to 30 years.

>> There is also relaxation provided to SC/ ST/ OBC category candidate.

Upper age limit :-

* For SC/ ST :- 5 years

* For OBC :- 3 years

3] Nationality :-

The candidates must be an Indian.

Selection procedure to become an IAS officer :-

The candidate just follows these below steps :-

1] Aptitude test

CSAT ( Civil Services Aptitude Test ) consists two papers :-

a] General Knowledge ; 200 marks of 2 hours

b] Comprehension and logical reasoning ; 200 marks of 2 hours

2] After clearing aptitude test, Final exam has to be taken :-

a] Essay type Indian Language Qualifying Paper of 300 marks

b] English Qualifying Paper of 300 marks

c] General Essay type Paper of 200 marks

d] Two paper on General Knowledge of 300 marks for each

e] Two papers on Optional Subjects of 300 marks for each

3] Personal Interview :-

In these stages, interviewees check the personality and the ability of mental power of the candidate.

Salary :-The salary is given according to levels :-

1] Junior officer :- Rs. 8000/- to Rs. 13500/-

2] Senior officer :- Rs. 10650/- to Rs. 15200

3] Junior Administrative Grade :- Rs. 12750/- to Rs. 16500/-

Hi,

Eligibility Criteria

Age criteria For IAS exam
minimum age is 21 and maximum age is 30 year for genaral candidate and
there is age relaxation provided to OBC and SC/ST candidate is 3 year and 5 year respectively

Educational Qualification

Candidate should be graduate from recognized university
Final year candidate are also eligible for this exam.
there is no limit of percentage marks.

IAS exam is conducted by UPSC. there are three stage of exam.

1. prelims
2. mains
3. interview

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service.
