Well at starting level salary of a Junior IES officer is such that. Basic pay: 7,000 HArdship allowance: 4,900 Daily allowance 19,00 Total after Dedcuting Tax = 13,000 (approx) Means in the pay band of 10,000(approx) - 15,000(approx). Besides these Dareness allowance, Group Insurance, Ration etc........ Which will keep increasing with post. Thanks |

After qualifying written, what will be the pattern in inetrview? What would be the growth of career after getting selected? What is the structure of grades like Junior IES, etc.? Where can one be placed? Is placement optional? Is the selectional process purely based on merit?

see, IES exam is the most biggest reputation govt jobs exam for engineers in India. IES engineers get highest engineering salary package among the others. and it is the highest reputed jobs for the engineering holders. after selection of IES, you will be get executive engineering post. this exam is conducted by the UPSC. this exam is mainly done in month of may. for more information regarding IES check-http://upsc.gov.in all the best....... |

First of all if you applied for it then the exam will be in December. The all-ounce is approx around Rs/- 15,000/- to 19,000/- , For this please prepare from today. all the best. |

the posts in railway for an IES are: Group A Services/Posts (i) Indian Railway Service of MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL/CIVIL/SIGNAL Engineers. (ii) Indian Railway Stores Service (MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL/CIVIL/Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers) The exact pay scale was not notified in the notification published by UPSC. But in general The Government of India has fixed salary grades for Civil Servants. Approximately the range of salaries drawn at various levels is as follows (not updated according to the sixth pay commision - will update soon): 1. Junior Officers: Rs. 8000-275-13500 2. Senior Officers: Rs. 10650-325-15200 3. Junior Administrative Grade: Rs. 12,750-375-16,500 4. Selection Grade: Rs. 15,100-400-18,300 5. Additional Secretary: Rs. 22400-525-24500 thanks |

i am an electrical student .i amgoing to finish my 3rd yer now.i dont have any knowledge about ies?actually what are works will i have if i selected for ies?what will be my starting salary?&what ll the atmost salary for that officers now?what are the schorlarships will i attain from that?is ther any other government jobs will be available better than this in my field?will i get pension?
