PSU is public service unit. All Industries that are undertaken by the Govt. of India.
Some of them are:
NTPC, ONGC, SAIL, BPCL, HPCL, BHEL, BEL, etc.

They provide very good salaries and facilities for there employees.
Mostly, candidates with technical background diploma or b tech have more chances of getting through after clearing the exams like GATE.

for management side, you must watch the notification in Employment News and apply accordingly.

Procedure will be same a written exam and interview. Have a strong background in your subject that's helps you a lot.
