Re: Future of Engineering? and which branches are going to boom?
The core branches
electrical, mechanical and civil etc. you'd think why?? computers n IT sector is the best growth oriented sector still why CORE branches are the ones you'd go for. See, the IT companies, like INFOSYS, TCS etc. etc. when conduct's interviews, they don't go for only IT students which they should since they are IT based companies.. Instead all the branches are allowed to sit. Now let's come to the core companies and public sector companies and PSU's.. they conduct interviews only for the respective branches.. you're getting my point? That BHEL is only for electricals, ASHOKA LEYLAND is only for mechanical with a few exeptions.. so if you're a core student then you can go for IT sector and core sector but if you're an IT student, there's only one feild for you, IT. THINK ABOUT IT |

if you are good in your field then surely there is no shortage of jobs . if you take an branch which you really don't like then you are not going to be an successful even in that field because only having an degree in any particular subject does not guarantee success you got to have passion for that field also all the best |

Re: Future of Engineering? and which branches are going to boom?
Hi
In my opinion the branches like mechanical, chemical, automobile, textile, fire, electrical, fasion technology, civil, biotechnology will boost up with in 3 year as the requirement of engineers from these branches will increase rapidly and in current most of the student doing engineering in cs,it, ec and those field are entirely different from these field. so those who are going to take admission in the next sesssion keep above branches in mind. |

Re: Future of Engineering? and which branches are going to boom?
Hi dear,
Mainly there are 4 branches of engineering. Civil & architecture, mechanical, electrical and chemical. OF which mechanical explores the world, because engineering like (aeronautical, automobile, tools and instrumentations etc are derived branches of mechanical engineering)with there tremendous scope in todays market. Further, electrical engineering is known as mother of all engineering. Engineering likr(computer, electronics, robotics etc are derived branches of electrical engineering, with apromiseing career. FURTHER, Civil & architecture had a endless scope. Engineering like (construture etc are derived branches of this engineering. ALL engineering holds there own position,wIth a promising career. Thanks |

Re: Future of Engineering? and which branches are going to boom?
dear friend,
There is a phrase that "Engineers are never dies in starvation".. you will definitely get a job after doing graduation in engineering... there are two types of branch- 1.core branch 2.software branch the core branches are- a. Mechanical b.Electrical c.Electronics and communication d.Civil the software branches are- a.Computer science b.Information Technology now, it is your interest that in which field you want to go and where you can excel yourself.. the IT market is now booming so, you can take computer science rather than IT.. also you can take Electronics and communication.. if you have more interest in core field then go for Mechanical , or electrical.. All the best.. |

Re: Future of Engineering? and which branches are going to boom?
mechanical engineering branch will grow fastly in future.for todays and for coming 10 years it's no doubt Civil will remain on top. Its best to choose Civil. There is a boom in real estate and Infrastructure in India and lack of civil engineers.you can work either in government sector or in private sector. As per current situation software market is very booming , so you can choose CSE,IT as your career sector.
