hi dear,
Mainly there are 4 branches of engineering.

Civil & architecture,mechanical,electrical and chemical.

OF which mechanical explores the world, because engineering like (aeronautical, automobile, tools and instrumentations etc are derived branches of mechanical engineering)with there tremendous scope in todays market.

Further, electrical engineering is known as mother of all engineering. Engineering likr(computer, electronics, robotics etc are derived branches of electrical engineering, with apromiseing career.

FURTHER, Civil & architecture had a endless scope. Engineering like (construture etc are derived branches of this engineering.
ALL engineering holds there own position,wIth a promising career.

DECISSION IS YOURS.

thanks

the present scenario....we can only predict that....in coming few years...
telecom, electrical, civil, are some of the branches which can see a uplift....
and about...production,mechanical,computer...they are ever green branches....

some predictions also say that bio tech...has got large scope in future but no one knows when is it going to come .........
best of luck

Engineering can be defined as:

Quote:
The creative application of scientific principles to design or develop structures, machines, apparatus, or manufacturing processes, or works utilizing them singly or in combination; or to construct or operate the same with full cognizance of their design; or to forecast their behavior under specific operating conditions; all as respects an intended function, economics of operation and safety to life and property.
Seeing the present scenario TELECOM, COMPUTER are in great heights, CHEMICAL, IP are some of the branches which will see an uplift in coming years and about PRODUCTION, MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, CIVIL, they are ever green branches.

Accoring to my point of view, There are only 4 branches and also known as the mother of all engineering.

The four branches are given as :

1) CIVIL Engg.

2) Mechanical Engg.

3) Electrical Engg.

4) Information Technology.

In the above there are total 4 branches, described as below.

1) Civil engg. : Civil engg. are also related to the archetectural branch. Civil engg. are also related to design and drawing. So, it is common as archetectural and construction design and drawing.

2) Mechanical Engg. : Mechanical engg. are related to Automobile and aeronutical Engg. The machinary work and Machine spare parts works are done in mechanical field. So, Mechanical engg. is common as Aeronutical and Automobile.

3) Electrical Engg. : It also deals with the electronic, electronics and communication, Instrumentation engg. So, it generate all the above given engg.

4) Information Technology : The 4rt one and last one is Infrmation technology. IT engg. related to the computer science, and software and hardware also. so, it generate these all engg.

Thus, the above engg. are common engg, who generate all the other engg.

Thank you.

Navneet thakur.

Engineering is as volatile as the market and there are always ups and downs for a particular branch or for all the engineering branches. However in the coming future engineers are going to be a great asset.

As far as India is concerned, the Computer Science is the branch that would be gaining maximum acceleration incoming years.

Hi

Scope of engineering is very bright in India because its still in developing phase.
As far as branches are concerned each and every branch is a good branch in itself
You should go for branch where your interest lie and with which you would like to work in your future.

Following are the core branches of Engineering
- Electrical
- Mechanical
- Chemical
- Civil
- Mining
- Metallurgy

These days electronics and computer science are also included in core branches as nothing can be done without it.

But whatever branch you choose, make sure to do it from well reputed college which has good campus placement record.

All the best
