Well there is no age limit for writing GATE exam.You can go for it.The eligibility criteria is that the candidate should be a degree holder and even a final or pre-final year can appear for the exam.Master degree holder in any branch can appear for it.The certificate will be valid for two years only.

Hello,

You can appear GATE 3 times.
There is no such age limit for appearing GATE. GATE is an entrance exam conducted by IIT for post graduate post.
If you are an engineering graduate or agriculture, then you can apply this exam.

You can make as many attempts as you wish. Also, there is no age limit.
But, a score is valid for only 2 years.

* There is no restriction for age limit in Gate exam.
* There is no restriction for attempts too in Gate exam.
* Candidates should be a graduate in Architecture or in engineering.
* Final year candidates can also apply for Gate exam.

No age restriction in there to apply for GATE exam . Candidate having BE/B.TECH/B.Sc can apply for the exam at any age as many times as possible with any percentage marks .Because the is no percentage and number of attempts limitation in the GATE exam notification .Even the pre-final year and final year students of BE/B.tech can apply for the exam .Through this exam candidate can join IITs ,NITs etc for M.Tech .

So there is nothing to worry about the eligibility of the exam .As you are a B.tech student ,you can apply for the exam .

There are no restriction for attempts in GATE exam . You can try it in maximum times.

The GATE score is valid for only 2 years.

From this year only final year student are eligible for GATE exam.

Pre-final year student are not eligible for GATE exam.

-it is conducted every year for taking admission in M.TECH.

- you can apply in final year.

- GATE score only valid for 1 year.

- There is no limit in how many years to complete engineering.

- there is no cut off in percentage to apply for the gate exam

- there is no age limit for applying for gate exam .

- though gate exam you get admission in IIT AND NIT COLLEGES AND SEVERAL OTHER COLLEGES .

- to take admission in IIT OR NIT COLLEGES you need to score above 99 percentile .

- to clear gate exam you should have good knowledge of your subjects .

- join a gate forum for good preparation .

From 2012 pre-final year student can not apply for the GATE EXAM ,only final year student can apply for it.

U can join Mtech without attending gate exam.U can get seat through management quota.

you can write as many times as you want.and gate score validity has changed from 1 year to 2 years

GATE stands for GRADUATE APTITUDE TEST IN ENGINEERING is an exam conducted by Indian Institute of Science and Indian Institute of Technology for admission to M.Tech. courses in different branches of Engineering in IITs, NITs, BITS etc.

The GATE score card is valid for two years. Basing on this card one can also get job in Public Sector Undertakings.

THERE IS NO RESTRICTION TO UPPER AGE FOR APPLICATION TO GATE.

The candidate will be eligible to apply for GATE if he is an Indian National having either appear for the final B.Tech. Degree exam or pass in any stream of Engineering from a recognised University. There is also no restriction to the number of attempts to GATE which means one can appear for GATE as many as times he wishes.

Its important to have minimum 55-60% marks at graduation level.
