GATE Engineering Sciences Papers
The GATE Engineering sciences Paper is a 100 marks paper. The time limit for the same is three hours. There are 60 questions in all to be answered for 100 marks. All these questions in the paper are of objective type with multiple choice answers. All the questions will be asked from the portion itself and can be accessed online easily. The student should do through work at the end of the question paper.
All the questions are to be answered in the Optimum Response Sheet or OPR provided to each student. The first twenty questions are for one mark each while the remaining questions carry two marks each. The level of difficulty of the question rises for the forty questions from question 21 to 60. More time may be required to be devoted to these questions.
For every incorrect answer from questions 1 to 20 the student loses half a mark. There is only one correct answer and therefore you need to mark only one answer. If you mark more than one answer, the entire question gets disqualified and you lose marks unnecessarily. Unanswered questions carry no marks. You must read all the instructions given on the question paper thoroughly before answering the paper.
