CDS stands for Combined Defence Service

This exam is one of the defence service exam and this exam is conducted by UPSC in favor of candidates to join in:

• Indian Military Academy
• Indian Navy
• Indian Air Force
• Officer Training Academy

As you have asked for the age limit for the CDS exam it is as follows:

Age limits:

For Indian Military Academy & Officer Training Academy:

Candidate should have a age limit of 19-24 years for IMA and for OTA they should have 19-25 years.

For Navy:

Candidate should have a age limit of 19-22 years

For Air Force:

Candidate should have a age limit of 19-23 years

Normally you will must have your age within 19 to 24 years for different types of sections.

* Candidates should be a graduate from a recognized university
* Age limit must be within 19-22 years for Navy
* Age limit must be within 19-24 years for Army
* Age limit must be within 19-23 years for Air Force.
* Only unmarried male candidates are allowed for the exam
* Final year can also attend the exam.

Sir/Mam Is there any age relaxation for unmarried Post graduates (non-Tech) OBC Female candidates..My DOB is 30th Aug 1987 and I belong to OBC category. I have done MA..According to the notice for CDS 1 2012 for which the exam held on 12th Feb 2012..The upper age limit has been given not later than 2nd Jan 1988..Can you please send me the details as I am confused whether I can fill the forms further or not..I have NCC "C" certificate with "A" grade..Its urgent..Can you please mail me on [email protected] could not find any detail on the upsc website..

Combined Defense Services Examination
(CDS) is an exam conducted by upsc twice a
year.
yes of course there is age relaxation for the
OBC and the SC/ST aspirants ,
there is an age relaxation of 3 years for the OBC aspirants
and
for the SC/ST aspirants the age relaxation is 5 years .
apart form that if you are an central government
employee then you can get an
age relaxation of 5 years more for the upsc CDS
examinations.
the age limit if you are applying for
IMA is19-24 years
OTA is 19-25 years
IAF is 19-22 years.
