As i know if you want to join indian army after your 12th then you can give the exam of NDA if you have 75% or more in PCM.
if you want to join indian army after your graduation then you can join through CDS exam.

There are several ways to join indian army but you are a graduate having commerce stream so, you have two popular methods of joining army. the first is through CDS exam conducted by upsc and other is through UES exam in educational or logical branch. if you have some kind of achievement in sports field, then it will definitely help you.

After 12th there is no openings for girls in Indian army.But after graduation there is so many position to serve Indian army.

There is no tuition officially available for CDS,but may be some privet organization offer tuition about the written test.

Apply for CDS you must be a graduate,NCC certificate ate holder are added an advantage.

After Graduation from an Engineering stream you can give the Combined Defense service Exam (CDS) conducted by the UPSC in New Delhi.

Please go to the UPSC website and you will get all the details there.
www.upsc.gov.in

The UPSC will conduct the exam and hand over the results to the defence forces who will conduct the interview.

A panel will conduct a medical check up.

I am doing hotel management from IHM-Aurangabad which is AICTE approved and it gives a degree of BA(hons) in culinary arts from university of huddersfield UK .I want to know if i am eligible to appear for CDS exam for IMA and OTA.Thanking you and waiting for an early reply.

there is no any need to have ncc certificate
there are various other ways like nda , cds , ima and many more

You can join in the Indian Army by qualifying in the CDS exam.NCC certificate is not mandatory to join in the Indian Army.

Hello Poojah,

You are eligible for India Army. You don't need to be science student to join Indian Army. Arts and commerce students can join Indian Army.
There is an exam called CDS conducted by UPSC.
You ca write this CDS exam and join Indian Army.

NCC certificate is not compulsory to join Indian Army. Though it have some advantages in SSB, but its not compulsory. There is a special entry called NCC C cerificate entry. Thats all.

After 10+2, there is an exam called NDA (National Defense Academy) conducted by UPSC.
There you have to opt for Indian Army. If you clear the written exam, then you will be called for SSB interview. You need to clear the SSB interview to join the Indian Army.

NCC certificate is not the must to fulfill eligibility criteria. But if you have that you can join through some special entry scheme.

Commerce students are eligible.

The UPSC holds all India competitive examination, known as the combined defence service examination (CDSE), twice a year for university graduates or equivalent.

Successful candidates can join Indian Military Academy for their free commission training after the interview conducted by the Service selection board and if finally selected, depending upon their merit list ranking, are sent to Indian Military Academy.

Candidates should be in the age of 19-24

The course commences each year in the month of January and July.

Interested candidates can apply in response to advertisement in March/April, October & November

To join army as a officer the procedure is:-

(i) Through NDA qualification - 10+2 with Phy & Maths Age-16.5- 19 yrs.
Advertisements:- in the months of Mar/Oct
( PC for men only).

(ii) Through CDSE :- Any graduate degree/BE/B Tech having Phy & Maths
at 10+2 Age 19-23 years
Advertisements:- Apr/ Sep.
( PC for men only).
(iii) Through SSC:- Any graduate degree/BE/B Tech with 60 %. having
Phy & Maths at 10+2…… ( PC for men & Women). Age 19-23 Years
Advertisement:- Mar/Sep.
(iv) Through NCC Spl Entry:- (Through CO Unit/DG NCC) Any graduate
degree/BE/B Tech having Phy & Maths at 10+2 and NCC “C”
certificate. Age 19-23 years.

To join as a soldier it is as per advertisement and through rallies.

yes you can apply through CDS exam. the agelimit for indian army is 24 years as on 1.1.2011

you can appear for CDS exam conducted by UPSC

beside this you can also enter in this field through UES.

and in logistic or educational branch of INDIAN ARMY.

it's better to join army after completing plus two.
You should study physics &maths in plus two level.
Then you can participate in NDA(national defence academy) exam to hire a job in executive branch.Your age should be between 17-19&should be a bachelor.
NDA exam notification publish in October.Exam will be conducted in April.

You can join indian army by NDA.You must clear this exam for joining indian army.The eligibility for thir exam is you must passed 10+2 with at least 60% and you age must in between 17 to 21yr.The forms will be available for this exam from feburary.
