Re: IIT preparation or CBSE preparation? what should I concentrate more on?
When i was in your stage i had the same problem...But at that time I found it right to prepare for CBSE 12th exam rather than IIT exam...if your 12th and 11th are strong then you will have a great career base...and it will also help you in preparing for IIT...
Good luck !! |

Dear,
First prepare for the boards as it will also help in your IIT preparation. Remember the proverb "World demand's nothing but the very best" Thanks. |

Re: IIT preparation or CBSE preparation? what should I concentrate more on?
Hi
Since you are interested to crack the IIT but one thing I will suggest you that you should first focus on your board exams, because failure in any exam or low percentage will also effect your competitive exams because some times in competitive exams some percentage criteria will also be present. What you can do focus more on that subjects that are relevant to your competitive exam. As you are interested in IIT so focus more on Maths, Physics and Chemistry. It would be better if you do your preparation from the books such as ABC and Pradeeps. As these books are good for your competitive exams as well as for your boards. GOOD LUCK |

Quote:
you must try to concentrate more on CBSE board exams. the competition exams are also very important but if you are not having good marks in 12th class then also you won,t be able to get admission in a good college. so, it is not a time to get confused, you must first concentrate on your board exam and after that think of the competition. |

Dear friend
Every student wants to make a good academic record as well as he also wants to secure his/her future in the intrested field. But here, you should not forget that on the basis of your good academic records, you can create a nice image in the market in future.it is good that you want to make good percentage in class 12th.and you want to prepare competitive exam.In my opinion, you remember one thing that IIT says that percentage criteria for IIT JEE exam is more than 80% for next year. GOOD LUCK... |

Re: IIT preparation or CBSE preparation? what should I concentrate more on?
Dear friend,
Now from next year ISEET will be commenced. IIT-JEE and AIEEE has been completely replaced by the new exam pattern i.e. ISEET (JEE-Mains and JEE-Advanced). JEE Mains exam will have 40% weightage to XII Board Marks also. So, XII Marks will be a crucial factor now. I would recommend you to focus more on XII Board Marks. It doesn't means that you should neglect Competitive Exams, but focus more on CBSE XII Board Examination. |

Re: IIT preparation or CBSE preparation? what should I concentrate more on?
It will be better to you that you just concentrate on your CBSE pattern first because untill you don't complete CBSE syllabus, you couldn't undertand the basic concepts for IIT.
Also, CBSE has made announcement that untill a candidate didn't achieve top 78 percentile, he/she will not be allowed to give IIT advanced and get into top IIT colleges. And for NIT colleges, there will be the addition of mean of 60% of marks achieved in IIT mains and 40% of the marks of CBSE 12th exam.
