Basic requirement for becoming an IAS officer is one should have age between 21 to 30 and also a graduate certificate from arecognised university.

So, at first complete the graduation and also prepare for this exam.

Current affairs are very important for this exam.

This exam consist three stage :-
1. prelim(objective)
2. main(conventional)
3. interview

I am happy that you want to become an IAS . for this you should complete your graduation in any stream.
you can choose any stream according your interest and complete your graduation first.
after graduation apply for IAS.
age limit 21 to 30 years.

hi friend, to become IAS officer, you should first finish graduate degree.

Because, To appear UPSC exam,
1. Age to be 21 to 28
2. 50% marks in ug degree.

And you prepare for exam.
science,verbal english, general knowledge, etc.,

Exam will be 1)Prelimnery exam
2)Main exam
3)Interview

sir i wants to be an IAS officer and just gave 12 exam, and i m thinking to do bsc hons in chemistry and take it as a main and what else should i do to prepare for IAS ?????

you have to select your intrested subjects in Graduation
then get deep knowledge
and update with general knowledge.
allways think about your AIM.

at first u should be mentally redy to perform your abilities in your preparation. also whose desire of that to become should be of your only. prepare for mains at first. after getting the subjectual analysis youn can go through the extravagent preparatoin. also some rools must be followed here. if have any doubt, ask me about that particular quiry. i can share with u without any reluctance. wish u all the very best, yours KHASIM.

You cannot become an IAS officer after class 12th because of the following reasons:-
1.) The minimum educational qualification needed is to be a graduate.
2.) Age limitation is between 21-30 years with 5 years relaxation period for reserved categories.
3.) General awareness is very important in the preparation of IAS as well as reading newspapers.

So , first complete your graduation and then go for IAS exam.

Go for any graduation which suits you.........
Its not mandatory go for a professional course itself....
Select course of your interest and master in it.

Eligibility:- First of all you should complete your graduation of a recognised
university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification.

Age :- your age should be 21 to 30.

To become an IAS officer,you need to have a bachelor's degree and also your age should be 21-30yrs.

Is all done though the same “UPSC held Civil Services” examination! This guide is written from the point of view of becoming an IAS officer. However, the procedure to become an IPS etc. officer is also the same!

If you become an IAS officer, you become part of the Indian Administrative Service. You will be part of the Govt. You can work from “the inside” and change “the system”

Preliminary( Objective choice) optional papers, general studies
Mains(Subjective type) Optional papers, General Studies, Essay writing, English
Interview

Its very good that you aim to become an IAS officer .

The minimum educational qualification required is to be a graduate in any field from any recognized university / college of India.

Age limitation is 21-30 years for general , 21-33 for OBC and 21-35 for the SC/St candidates.

General categories get 4 , OBC get 7 while SC/ST get unlimited attempts to clear the exam.

You need to clear the CSAT before appearing for the Mains.

sorry to say that you are not eligible for IAS exam after 10+2 .

but after completion of your graduation you are eligible for IAS exam.

the eligibility criteria for IAS exam:-

Educational Qualification:
Graduation in any discipline of education.

Age limit:
Not more than 30. For SC/ST it should be 35.
