Well, dear if you are interested in Animation Industry then sure just go for it. Infact having a good command over Programming languages will be a valueable asset for making successfull career in this sector. However, opting for MCA will be much better then it as Programmers are of much valued in Animation & Gaming Industry. I can fetch following jobs for you in this sector. Programmer : has main part of job here. And genarally Engineers with high level of proficiency are found here, because thing like- Artificial intelligence etc. are used here which can be perform by Computer engineers. Network Programmer: This part of work os also for Engineers, but some having good command over C. C++ can lead here. And BCA, MCA, CS graduate can also find her. Graphics Programmer: This part of job is very enjoying one and are in great demand, apart from Animation industry also. Needs very good Taste and creativeness. Audio Programmer: All the sound effects and music work are carried out by the person here. Here also little programming is required specially in C++. Game Producer: Nothing much, person here will e responsible for estimating cost and to check the functioning of everyone above mentioned. Quality Assurance: Like a HR. It will be responsible for checking the things required and providing them on time. And to take care that client is getting master piec of work. |

Since you are BCa graduate MCA is a better option for you. Also because it has be generally noticed that candidates with BCA + MCA are valued better then B.sc + MCA. Second thing is that M.sc (CT) can not provide you the things and prospect which MCA can provide. You would be worried because of present Job market. but dont take tension market is well improving, according to a media report (September-October) Indian IT industry is expected to create 4,000,00 new jobs till end of the year. So, we can Positively assume that after 3 years Market will be better. Remember one thing India is World largest or World's No. 1 IT Hub and a sector which in coming years will surely witness ups and downs, but will not be diasterous as people generally think. UIDAI, will gear up a new Benchmark in Indian IT History. Best of Luck |

Re: MCA or MSc (computer technology)? after BSc. in computer science?
Hi friend,
Its your interest either to go for MCA or MSC. MCA takes 3 years to complete and for MSC its just 2 years. But i would suggest you to go for MCA. But try to join in the good college. Then only you have more chances to be placed in good corporate company. Simply doing MCA in some unreputed college or university and if you come with just certificate in your hand, you cant gain anything out of your MCA. So, all the best. |

Re: MCA or MSc (computer technology)? after BSc. in computer science?
Well MSc or MCA in computer are same as both are post graduate degree but these days the demand is more for MCA computers in MNC then MSc computer as because MCA make you bend more towards Computer and make you to go more depth than MSc..

Re: MCA or MSc (computer technology)? after BSc. in computer science?
Dear friend
MCA is a 3 year degree course, But M.sc CS is 2 year degree course. In M.sc CS, you have learn about theortical details of hardware & software along with Logic & algorithm. But in MCA you have learn about software based knowledge. So, basically for working purpose an M.C.A course is preffered, but for Research purpose always M.Sc. CS will be preffered. So, basically both the courses are related to networking and software field. As such there are not so much difference between in these two courses. You can opt these courses according to your interest and choice. |

Re: MCA or MSc (computer technology)? after BSc. in computer science?
I suggest you to prefer M.C.A rather than M.sc in computer technology.
In the present scenario M.C.A graduates are giving a tough competetion to the students of B.tech with computer stream. Well both the courses are good but MNC's prefer M.C.A graduates rather than M.sc students. So M.C.A graduates have got a better future. all the best |

it totally depends upon your choice . if you want software and programming knowledge ,then go for m.c.a. here you can get high salaried jobs in good companies. if you choose for m.sc then you will gain the knowledge how computer works ,how application(computer)works. it means you will gain outer knowledge not the internal like -programme and software development. the possibillity of jobs in multinational companies is also not available (generally). so , choose according to your interest. good luck. |

Many students have confusion that what to do after completing Bsc
Is MCA is good option or MSc. But i think Msc is good option. It is beneficial to you because now you have Bsc so go with same field... Don't thinking of changing your field..... |

Re: MCA or MSc (computer technology)? after BSc. in computer science?
It purely depends upon your choice but M.scis more preferable since you have completed your B.sc.MCA is also having a lot of scope.M.sc increases the subject knowledge.

Re: MCA or MSc (computer technology)? after BSc. in computer science?
HI der,
After B.Sc in computer science, i will suggest you just go for MCA, it is best course for you after completing your B.sc Because after completing MCA you will get a post of software engineering, but i think both the courses offer good career platforms in future. So, i will suggest you, just choose those field, in which you have great interest. But according to me MCA is best path for you. Thanks |

Re: MCA or MSc (computer technology)? after BSc. in computer science?
Hello friend,
If you have interest to gain deep knowledge in your subject then choose M.Sc and do further studies like phd and researches in the relevant field. Otherwise, MCA will ve the best option for you. MCA is totally computer application based course. Different software developement companies hire MCA students with lucrating salary packages. Here you can have better job prospects in case of MCA. Now it is your choice what way you want to go. All the best.
