Can you suggest me internship offered by core companies for electronics and communication engineering near by kolkata .Also could you reply me how to proceed for internship during summer 2011 not more than 2 months?

if you wish to do internship from core company you have
BHEL
BDL
BEL
NSI
ECIL etc
but as these are the govt companies you need to have reference to become an intern. if you know anyone working for any of these companies then it will be very easy to become an intern.
if you want to work in IT sector then you have many options like
micro soft
infosys
oracle
tcs
cts
csc
dell etc
for these companies internship programme you need to upload your resume in companies websites and if you satisfy all the eligibility criterias then you will be called for an interview and on the basis of your performance they will take you as an intern.

since when all these companies became core ece companies...u got to be kidding...
